Begin to connect to your breath and just notice the quality.
Notice the pace.
Notice the depth.
Today is a practice in gratitude.
As we sit here together,
I will share some specific moments of gratitude with you.
And if it feels comfortable,
You can listen or repeat them to yourself silently in your mind.
You could even say them out loud if you choose.
If you happen to be in a place where gratitude is a little bit more challenging,
I offer you the possibility and the invitation to changing the phrase into an affirmation of,
I am learning to be grateful.
Or something similar that resonates with where you are in this moment.
So let's take a deep breath together.
Deep inhale in.
And a slow release.
I am grateful for the opportunity to rest here and close my eyes.
I am grateful for the support of my body that holds me in this position while I rest my mind.
I am grateful for my breath and the life that sustains me.
I am grateful to connect virtually with so many others who are sitting and practicing in this moment.
I am grateful to be able to hear these words of gratitude and also to speak them from my own lips.
I am grateful to slow down and pause.
I am grateful for where I am in life in this particular moment.
I am grateful for all my past experiences,
For they bring me to where I am today.
I am grateful.
I am grateful.
As we sit here for the next few moments,
I invite you to continue your own gratitude practice.
