Hello beautiful soul,
My name is Heather.
Welcome to Tap Into Your Magic and we are gonna be tapping on releasing people pleasing in this video.
Okay,
Let's go.
Even though I'm a people pleaser.
Like,
I just love to please people.
I love to make them happy.
I love to see them smile.
And I'm really good at doing that.
I'm really good at knowing what people want But sometimes it's at the detriment of my own values.
And it can make me uncomfortable to agree with people that I don't agree with.
To always say yes when I want to say no.
To feel like I have to hide parts of myself around people.
Because.
.
.
Maybe they wouldn't like who I really am.
So even though I may feel this way,
I choose to love and forgive myself.
Because I know people pleasing is just a survival mechanism.
At some point in my life,
I didn't feel accepted or loved for who I am.
And the only way to survive was to change who I was.
To make other people feel uncomfortable.
To make other people feel comfortable.
But I felt uncomfortable.
Maybe I'd come home after a long day of socializing.
And feel absolutely drained.
And that other person tells me,
Oh my gosh,
You're amazing.
I love you.
But deep down,
I don't feel the same.
I feel Like a fraud.
And.
I'm ready to change the story.
I don't want to go through life dimming my light.
Being a chameleon.
Adapting myself for everyone else's needs.
I am worthy of so much more than that.
Even though it might be really uncomfortable for me to change.
To allow my true self to be seen.
I'm choosing to love and accept myself anyway.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
And exhale.
If you yawned all the way through that,
I've got some tingles as well.
I feel a little bit emotional actually.
So maybe you're feeling that.
I can feel that,
You know,
These videos,
They're authentic for me as well.
You know,
Some of them I'll really resonate with and some of those points felt,
Yeah,
Very real for me.
And maybe some of those did for you.
So we are gonna tap and clear this up and let go of this old part of ourselves and really tap on loving who we are.
Our complete weirdo self.
Okay,
So let's begin tapping at the start of the eyebrow and just repeat after me.
It is safe for me to be me.
It is safe for me to be myself around people.
I don't always have to fall into the trap.
Of people pleasing.
Because sometimes I meet someone and I can sense that they're not sure about me.
And there's a huge part of me that just wants to be loved.
That just wants to be accepted.
And so sometimes it's easier just to agree.
To make that other person feel amazing around me.
To give them more than.
.
.
I can handle.
Because sometimes I just put on my people-pleasing mask.
And it keeps me safe from being isolated.
From being outcast or judged But then the sad part is,
Nobody truly gets to know the real me.
And the real me is worth knowing.
I am not for everyone.
I am a rare addition.
I'm one of a kind.
Maybe in the past I was judged for my beliefs.
Maybe I was called a weirdo or something like that.
But I don't want to let the past rule my present anymore.
It's okay to be me.
There's a reason I have all these quirks and interests And guaranteed there are people out there who are just dying to get to know the real me.
I am worthy of authentic relationships and friendships.
And I'm removing the fear of not being loved or liked or accepted.
Because I'm choosing to accept myself.
I'm choosing to love myself.
I'm choosing to approve of myself And I don't need anyone else's validation to show me how worthy I am.
And choosing to be myself around others.
And even if this makes some people uncomfortable,
That's life.
Not everybody is going to like me and that's okay.
I might upset or offend people.
And as I'm changing the way I see myself and my life,
And as I take off my people pleasing mask and be more of myself.
And say how I feel and what I think.
It might create distances in my relationships,
My friendships.
Or maybe it's going to make them stronger.
My boundaries are important.
My values are important.
And I do not compromise these for anybody.
I am good enough,
Exactly as I am.
It is safe for me to take off my mask.
To show the world who I really am.
So even though I may be or have been a people pleaser.
I'm removing that label.
I am simply me.
I love and accept who I am completely.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
And exhale out your mouth.
Oh that was lovely.
Who you are.
Is good enough.
Who you are is perfect.
I want you to walk away from this video knowing that who Universe God created was you with all your interests,
With your enthusiasm,
With your.
.
.
With all of the uniqueness that is you and you don't have to fit yourself in any box or,
You know,
Chameleon shift shape yourself around everyone just to make them feel comfortable because.
Feel of yourself.
As you are.
There is no need to wear that mask anymore.
