This meditation uses a combination of relaxation and mindfulness techniques, with visualization and affirmations to gently heal, open, and balance the heart chakra (the fourth major energy center of the body). The heart chakra is our center for love, kindness, and compassion. This track will help you free any blocked or stagnant energy related to the heart chakra. When the heart chakra is open and balanced we feel more heart-centered, peaceful, loving, and compassionate towards ourselves and others; we are able to release past pain and move forward in our lives with an open and peaceful heart. Hello my name is Heather and I'm so happy and grateful to be your guide today for this heart chakra healing meditation Our chakras are major energy centers of the body.

They're sort of like energetic junctions that metabolize all of our experiences.

When they are open and functioning optimally we can allow ourselves to fully feel the whole spectrum of human emotions and always come back to a grounded peaceful and content state.

But when we've had challenging experiences sometimes some of the chakras can get a little blocked or distorted and that can create energetic blockages that result in emotional difficulties and eventually maybe even some physical issues in the body.

The good news is that when we begin to pay attention to our needs and to take good care of ourselves as you're doing right now we can always heal these energy centers.

The heart chakra is located in the center of the chest and is all about our love kindness and compassion for ourselves and for everyone else.

The heart chakra is the meeting point of the earth plane energies that are drawn up through the three lower chakras and the spiritual energies that are drawn down through the three higher chakras.

This energetic junction plays a major role in our capacity to lead a heart-centered life and to feel peace and gratitude for all our experiences even the challenging ones.

In order to keep this chakra open and balanced forgiveness is really important.

Forgiveness of ourselves for any wrong we may believe we've done in the past and forgiveness of others for any wrong that has been done to us.

But forgiveness does not mean condoning what others have done to us.

We're not saying it was okay.

It wasn't okay and you deserved so much better.

What forgiveness really means is letting go.

Letting go of past pain that we no longer want to carry around with us because it's taking away from our peace and joy in the now.

The peace and joy that is your birthright.

If the heart chakra is blocked we can find it hard to love ourselves and others as we can begin to feel a disconnect forgetting that we're all one.

This can lead to lasting feelings of loneliness,

Resentment and deep sadness.

Physical problems in the body resulting from a blocked or distorted heart chakra include issues with the physical heart,

Lungs or chest.

Hypertension,

High cholesterol,

Asthma,

Heart or breast problems can be an issue.

This meditation will help you to free any blocked or stagnant energy related to the heart chakra.

It will also offer you the space and freedom to let go of any past pain and to forgive anything you may be ready to forgive today.

At the end I'll offer some powerful healing affirmations.

You can repeat the affirmations out loud if you like or silently in your mind or you can also just let my words wash over you as your subconscious mind absorbs their healing energy.

For you to get the most out of this meditation it's really important that you allow yourself to fully feel anything that may come to the surface as you listen to the words and connect with yourself.

There is never any right or wrong way to feel during meditation.

However you feel know that it's absolutely normal and healthy.

Your emotional experience whatever it is is always valid.

When we allow ourselves to truly feel we free that energy enabling us to return to our natural connected state of inner peace.

So let's get started.

So make yourself as comfortable as you can.

Sitting in an upright position with your shoulders back and relaxed if that's comfortable for you and if not you can go ahead and do this meditation lying down that's fine as well.

Allow your jaw to soften.

Allow your eyes to gently float closed as you bring your attention softly inwards.

We're going to take a couple of deep conscious breaths together and I invite you to imagine that on each in-breath you are inhaling peace and calm and with each out-breath you are releasing anything that you wish to let go of.

Any unhelpful thoughts or difficult feelings.

We're going to breathe in to the count of four and take a slightly longer out-breath to the count of six.

I'll guide you through this.

So with your eyes gently closed take a nice deep breath in two three four and breathe out two three four five six again breathe in two three four and exhale slowly two three four five six and one last time breathe in two three four and exhale two three four five and now just allow your breath to return to a nice relaxed natural rhythm now bring your attention now to your feet see if you can feel your feet just be aware of them feel your feet notice if there are any sensations in your feet a heaviness or tingling perhaps or even a numbness just notice anything you do or don't feel in your feet today and if you prefer you could also do this with your hands choose either your hands or your feet and notice what you can feel and now I invite you to imagine that you are planting down those energetic roots deep into the earth grounding you enabling you to feel more centered supported safe now visualize or imagine in any way you like that you are drawing up the universal life force energy from the earth into your energetic body and as the energy reaches your body you feel more and more calm and at the same time energized see feel or imagine your red root chakra at the base of your spine open and balanced up to the orange sacral chakra open and balanced up through the yellow solar plexus chakra open balanced and up to your beautiful heart chakra in the center of your chest I invite you to imagine a wheel or vortex of emerald green light spinning in the center of your heart space in a clockwise direction and this green spinning vortex grows stronger and brighter drawing in the life force energy from the earth it helps your heart to open and to feel deeply just like our hearts are meant to and I invite you to just notice whatever may be present for you today just allow yourself to feel without necessarily trying to understand or justify reason or explain just feel and notice the emotions you feel today may be difficult or enjoyable and if you were to do this again tomorrow it could be completely different or the same there is no way that this is supposed to go we're just being present with our hearts and allowing it to feel giving it the loving attention it deserves if there is anything weighing your heart down you are free to release it in this space of loving awareness breathing out any heaviness any pain any resentment with each conscious exhale breathing in love light peace with each inhale I invite you to send loving kindness to yourself at this time to the now you and whatever you may be experiencing right now to all the past versions of you and everything you've overcome to be here in this moment and to the future version of you who is so grateful to you for doing this work I'm going to leave you with the music for two minutes as you continue to send powerful loving energy to yourself and anyone else you want to on this physical plane or beyond then I will come back and repeat some powerful healing affirmations to help heal and align your heart chakra I'm going to begin with the affirmations feel free to repeat them out loud or silently in your mind or just allow my words to wash over you I choose to fully feel and release any past pain because I know I deserve joy in my present I am kind and compassionate to all including and especially myself I know that all love starts with loving myself and I know that I deserve my own love I am worthy and gratefully accept all the love and kindness I receive I know there is a constant stream of love available to me at all times and all I have to do is allow it I am open to love peace and joy it is safe for me to love and to be loved I deserve love and kindness I view the world through the lens of love the universe supports me in every way everything is always working out for my highest good I welcome love in with an open heart I let love guide me I make space for all my emotions and express them freely there is balance and harmony in all my relationships my heart is at peace I am loving and deeply loved I am love I am loving and deeply loved thank you so much for practicing with me today I invite you to stay in this space of connected awareness for as long as you like enjoy knowing that just by bringing awareness to your heart chakra you've practiced an act of self-kindness and self-care and that is so important we all deserve our own loving kindness and care if you enjoyed this meditation and you'd like to explore the chakras further and do some deeper energetic healing work you can find my course here on insight timer a healing journey through the chakras wishing you a beautiful day or night and we'll connect again very soon namaste
