Hello and welcome to this deep sleep meditation to help relax your body and mind and ease any stress or anxiety that you might be experiencing at this time My name's Heather and I'm so grateful to be your guide today My intention is to help you to feel nice and safe and supported grounded and present,
Ready to drift down into a deep,
Peaceful and restorative night's sleep So just get yourself as comfortable as you possibly can,
Ready for relaxation and sleep As we move through the meditation,
Feel free to adjust your position at any time if you can make yourself even a tiny bit more comfortable This is your time and you're always in control Allow your eyes to gently drift closed now if they're not already And just notice how good it feels to gently rest your eyes at ease behind your closed eyelids Notice all the tiny muscles in and around your eyes,
Softening,
Relaxing,
Letting loose Eye is feeling so comfortable now,
So heavy You are safe and secure,
Exactly as you are in this moment It's safe for you to relax completely now And just allow your attention to drift softly with the sound of my voice There is nothing more that you need to do for today,
So you can just rest,
You can just be We're going to take 3 deep conscious breaths together now,
To drop even deeper into presence We'll breathe in through the nose if that's comfortable for you today,
To the count of 4 Then we'll hold for 4 and slowly release the breath through the mouth to the count of 6 So go ahead and take a nice deep breath in 2,

Natural,
Comfortable rhythm I invite you to bring your attention now to the very top of your head,
The area just above the crown of your head And imagine a soothing light glowing steadily at the top of your head here And you may see this light in any colour or colours you like And just imagine the warmth of this light moving down through your whole body Soothing you and bringing you deeper and deeper into relaxation And maybe you notice that your body is feeling even heavier now More and more relaxed as this soothing healing light moves over and through every muscle Every fibre and every cell of your body And some people feel the gentle pull of gravity just a little more noticeable than usual As they relax more and more deeply Or perhaps you notice a warm sensation or a pleasant tingling somewhere in the body Or just a general sense of well-being as you connect more and more with your body and with this present moment Feeling safe and secure,
Safe and sound and ready for sleep There's nothing you need to change in this moment,
Nothing you need to try to do You can just be and just notice your experience We're going to bring awareness now to different areas of the body And I'll guide you to intentionally relax,
Soften each area Releasing any resistance so that you can ease into deep restful sleep whenever you're ready So gently moving your attention from the top of the head down to your forehead Your eyes,
Your jaw Aware of any subtle sensations in the face as your body continues to relax even more deeply Moving down to your neck,
Shoulders Noticing the weight of your shoulders,
Heavier,
Softer Moving down to your arms,
Your hands Noticing the space around your fingers Noticing how you might perhaps sense the energy in your hands Maybe a feeling of aliveness or simply stillness Bring your awareness to your chest And notice how your chest naturally rises and falls as your body breathes in its own natural rhythm Coming down to your stomach,
Your lower back Whole of the back soft,
Relaxed,
Supported by the surface beneath you Bringing your awareness to your hips Down to the legs Down to your lower legs Shins,
Ankles,
And your toes The space around the toes Whole body now,
Resting deeply Heavy,
Loose,
Completely relaxed And as you rest deeply here,
Softening gently into sleep Whenever your mind and body are ready Allow me to offer some affirmations To help you to wake up in the morning feeling safe and secure Grounded,
Present,
And confident as you move through your day Your subconscious mind will naturally absorb the words that are aligned with your highest good You don't need to focus on listening to the words You can just allow your mind to drift Until sleep finds you at exactly the right moments Even if you sleep deeply,
You will still benefit from the affirmations Because your subconscious mind is always listening You are here in your body and you are safe You feel anchored,
Secure,
