Hello my name is Heather Dean and I'm so happy to be your guide today for this meditation to help when you're feeling stressed or overwhelmed.
Thank you for choosing to take these few minutes just for you.
There is nothing else you need to do right now,
Nowhere else you need to be.
So I invite you to just find yourself in a comfortable position.
You can be seated or lying down and just allow yourself to relax.
Bring your attention to your shoulders,
Make sure that they are down and completely relaxed.
Let your eyes gently close if they haven't already.
And take a deep breath in through your nose.
And exhale.
You are safe in this moment.
We're going to do that again together.
Let's take another long deep breath in.
And a slow breath out.
And one last time.
A nice deep slow breath in.
And breathe out slowly.
Now bring your attention to the muscles in your face and make sure they are completely relaxed.
Your forehead,
All the tiny muscles in and around your eyes are completely relaxed.
And your jaw,
Your neck and back.
These are places where we can often hold on to tension without even really realizing it.
Just allow yourself to let go and relax completely for these few minutes.
If you notice yourself being distracted by any thoughts,
Just know that that is completely normal.
We never want to try to stop our thoughts.
We can just let the thoughts be there.
Just be aware that you are the observer of the thoughts.
You are not the thoughts.
You are the pure consciousness that is able to notice the thoughts.
Whenever you notice a thought,
You can simply bring your attention back to your breath.
Or if you prefer to,
Another anchor point in your body.
Maybe you prefer to focus your attention on your hands or on any sensations you might have in your feet.
Can you notice how your feet are touching the ground?
Or maybe any tiny sensations in your hands?
Or can you notice the feeling of gravity that is holding you right here in this present moment?
I invite you now to gently focus your attention on the affirmations that follow.
To increase your sense of calm,
Confidence and inner peace.
And so to reduce any experience of stress or anxiety.
I have all the time I need to do everything important to me.
I recognize that I am always enough.
I have always been enough and I always will be.
I am doing my best and my best is always enough.
I allow myself time to rest and take care of myself because in doing so I have so much more to give to others.
When I allow myself time to pause,
Breathe and relax I give myself the gift of time.
And this creates more time.
There is enough time.
I have time.
Feeling relaxed,
Feeling more energized,
More calm and positive.
Just open your eyes and continue your day knowing that you are enough.
You are doing enough and you do have time to do the things that matter.
All whilst taking care of you.
Because I remind you that nothing matters more than that.
Thank you so much for taking this time just for you with me.
Namaste.
