Welcome to this short self love guided meditation for mothers.
As a busy mum you do so much for others,
You give so much of your energy and time to your children,
Family and other commitments.
This meditation is for you.
Just for you to fill your cup,
To take a quick moment for self care and self love,
Whenever it is you get to listen to this.
Motherhood is not always easy,
It comes with many challenges,
And every day there is patience to be had,
Resilience to be cultivated,
And inner strength to be built.
There are many joyful moments,
But tending to and nurturing a child,
Whether it be a newborn,
Baby,
A toddler,
A school aged child or teenager,
It is like there is an extension of you out there in the world that you are always caring about and investing into.
I want to acknowledge all that you do,
Especially the unseen labour that gets no praise,
No support,
Just you doing what you feel like you need to do and must do,
As a good mum to keep your children happy and healthy.
So thank you for your service,
For your utmost important role in society and for your willingness to do your best each and every day.
If you have some incense you would like to light you may do so now if you haven't already,
Signifying this sacred time just for you,
Allowing the aromas to envelop you in a beautiful yet gentle atmosphere.
So if you do have the ability to sit down and close your eyes right now I invite you to do so and allow yourself to settle into this precious moment just for you.
Take some deep slow conscious breaths,
Allowing yourself to relax and surrender into each one.
It's time for you to give yourself some love,
So place one or both hands over your hearts face,
Remembering that this place is sacred and you are worthy of this love too.
Feel the pressure of your hands on your heart,
Feel your heart beating in your chest.
However your heart feels right now,
It's okay,
Just notice it now.
Bring your awareness to any heaviness,
Lightness or emotions or feelings that may be present here in this moment.
Not needing them to be different or to change,
Simply be with the direct experience of your heart now.
Breathe,
Feel and allow,
And give yourself permission to feel and express anything if it's needed,
Just like you would hold space for your child as they process any emotions they may be feeling.
This is an act of self love,
You acknowledging what needs to be acknowledged,
You giving yourself the space to feel what needs to be felt,
Whether that feels heavy or light,
You allowing your authentic expression and embodiment.
I'll give you two minutes here to do this.
Beautiful,
I would like you to thank yourself for being present with your heart.
Notice any shifts that have taken place within you now.
You are such a gift,
Not only to your family,
But to the world.
Your value does not lie in what you do,
But in who you inherently are.
So breathe into your heart.
Feel into the essence of who you are.
Allow the love within your heart to emerge and blossom gently.
Feel this love grow.
Will your heart expand from this love?
I am lovable just the way I am.
I am so proud of myself.
I am important.
I love myself.
Allow the love in your heart to radiate outwards,
Immersing your whole being in your own self love.
Soak in this love.
Embody this love.
As we come to the completion of this meditation,
I invite you to take a final five deep breaths,
Grounding into your body and anchoring into the love that is here.
You are so special.
You are beautiful and powerful.
You are a great mother and great human being.
Never forget that.
And when you feel ready,
You may open your eyes and go forward into your day.
Remember to treat yourself with love and kindness today and every day.
No matter what is going on with the kids,
Family,
Work or other responsibilities,
Don't forget the responsibility that you have to yourself.
To love yourself unconditionally and to treat yourself with the utmost respect,
Care and compassion.
