Welcome to this outdoor guided meditation for the root chakra.
This meditation will help you feel grounded and safe here on earth in your physical body.
You will feel secure,
Supported and your awareness will move into the present moment and out of the busyness of the mind.
As you sit outside on the grass in a comfortable seated position,
Close your eyes and take some deep breaths.
Feel the air go in through your nose,
Feel your tummy and chest expand.
And as you exhale feel your whole body relax.
Now begin to notice the smells around you.
It may seem fresh and crisp,
You may smell the scent of a flower or a pine tree.
Breathe it in,
Being aware of those scents and smells in your surroundings.
Now notice the sensations around your body.
Feel the wind as it brushes against your face.
Does it feel warm or cold?
Do you feel the sun against your skin?
Allow yourself to really feel your physical sensations.
Now bring your attention to your feet and your legs.
Feel your body as you sit amongst the grass.
Can you feel the grass against your skin?
Feel how it cushions you from the dirt beneath.
Now in your mind visualise roots coming down from your root chakra at the base of your spine.
See these roots travelling down through the dirt beneath you.
You see them pass through your earth star chakra which is pulsating a browny gold coloured light.
These roots keep going down through the dirt and rocks until they reach the central core crystal of Gaia.
When these roots that are extending down from you reach the centre of the earth you feel a sense of connection and belonging.
You know that the earth is supporting you and holding you.
You feel more anchored and grounded.
Now visualise your root chakra glowing a bright red colour.
Each breath you take the root chakra at the base of your spine gets brighter and bigger extending out from your whole body.
You feel a sense of power and security.
Now repeat the following affirmations either in your mind or out loud and really allow yourself to feel the energy of each of them.
I am grounded.
I am safe.
I am connected to Mother Earth.
And now for the next 10 minutes let the energy of the earth anchor you in,
Making you feel so grounded and safe to be here living on earth as a human.
Let this loving and supportive energy flood throughout your whole being,
Breathing in the fresh air and knowing you are worthy and important and safe.
Now let the energy of the earth anchor you in,
Making you feel the energy of each of them.
Now repeat the following affirmations either in your mind or out loud and really allow yourself to feel the energy of each of them.

Now slowly wiggling your fingers and toes,
Feeling this renewed energy within you.
Open your eyes when you are ready.
Know when you get too much in the mind or feel overwhelmed you can always connect back into your physical body and the earth to provide you with that grounding energy for you to move forward feeling safe,
