Welcome to this night time shower meditation where you can create time and space just for you to relax your body and release any stress you may be feeling.
It may have been a long hard day but it is now time to release it all and come back to you and to the relaxation,
Peace and harmony that resides within once all else dissolves away.
So if you aren't already in your shower I invite you to step in and feel the warm water as it rushes over the top of your head and down your body.
You can breathe a sigh of relief as you are now in your safe relaxing place where there is nothing to do or be.
This is your haven to rejuvenate and nourish your mind,
Body and heart.
So be still for a moment and close your eyes and bring your full awareness to the temperature of the water,
How perfect it is,
How soothing it is,
How relaxing it feels to be immersed in this warmth.
Feel it wash away any worries and anything that was on your mind about the day.
Let it all flow down your body and into the drain,
Renewing your energy and relaxing you.
Notice how your breath is slowed and deepened as you surrender to this blissful and peaceful experience.
If you would like to wash your hair with shampoo you can do so now and if not you can simply follow along embracing the sensory experience of doing so as you stand,
Feeling the water wash over you and feeling yourself relax more deeply.
Mindfully select the bottle and squeeze the liquid onto your hands before lovingly washing your hair,
Allowing your fingertips to massage the shampoo into your scalp gently.
Allow yourself to enjoy the slow yet deep nourishing movement of this,
Covering all the spaces and places on your head that need cleansing,
Renewal and refreshment.
Taking your time and relaxing into the pleasant sensations and fragrances that may be present.
As the bubbles ooze down your neck and body,
Feel any stress or tension float away with it,
Allowing a complete cleanse to occur within your consciousness and within the head itself.
Nothing needs to remain,
All can be washed away with this act of self care and self love.
As you slowly tilt your head back to wash the shampoo out,
Feel the rush of soothing water as it flows over and through your hair,
Feeling so refreshed,
Free and renewed.
And allow the bubbles and water to run over your upper body,
Lower body and feet,
Feeling each body part soften and relax even more.
If you use conditioner in your hair,
Then go ahead and do so,
Applying it with gentle,
Slow hands,
Welcoming in the tender love and care that you deserve.
As you stroke your fingers through your hair,
You feel yourself feel so relaxed and at peace.
This nurturing time,
Just for you,
To tend to your own self,
Feels so needed.
It is time to wash your body,
So grab your soap or body lotion and wash your body in whatever way feels best for you.
And as you scrub your body with love and care,
Feel anything else that needs to be let go of tonight,
Flow away from your body and down the drain.
Feel so grateful for this body of yours and the opportunity to have this wonderful warm shower before bed.
Allow the water to wash away any remaining soap off your amazing body and if you had conditioner in your hair still,
Then go ahead and wash that out,
Allowing the waterfall of cleansing water to flow over your head and body,
Feeling a complete relief and relaxation in mind,
Body and heart.
And embrace these last few moments in the shower,
Feeling so nurtured and relaxed.
And when you feel ready,
You can turn the water off and enjoy your wonderful evening,
Feeling more connected to yourself and embracing this relaxed state of being.
