Awaken with your breath.

In stillness,

Sense your breath.

Breathe in deeply and breathe out completely.

Sense your belly rising as you inhale and sense your belly falling as you exhale.

You can place one hand or both hands on your belly to amplify the sensation.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Notice how each breath completes the circle of life.

Sitting in a dignified pose with your spine in alignment or lying with your knees bent so that you don't fall back into slumber,

Now is your time to awaken.

Be here with yourself in this moment.

Sense your whole body.

Sense your body in its entirety.

Sense your complete body just as it is.

It is perfect.

Be here in your body in this moment.

Sense your sit bones and buttocks rooting into the earth.

With your feet on the floor,

Sense your feet also rooting into the earth.

Imagine your sit bones,

Buttocks and feet sprouting roots into the dark,

Lush soil of the earth.

The earth is safe and secure.

The earth provides everything the tree needs and the tree trusts the earth.

Your earth grounds,

Nourishes and supports you.

Your body grounds,

Nourishes and supports you.

Your body provides everything you need and you can trust your body.

From this state of grounding,

Repeat the following affirmation.
