Welcome Powerful Heart,
Back to another guided journey in meditation from my heart to yours.
Today's intention is helping you with sleep,
Specifically when your body won't settle and night time anxiety intention is stopping you from resting.
So as you arrive and begin to drop in,
Start to feel my words and the love and intention behind them.
Often,
The most frustrating moments before sleep happen when your body simply won't settle,
Simply won't let go.
Sensations move through your stomach,
Your chest,
Your legs,
Your mind itself might be tired but your nervous system is still alert.
Tonight's meditation isn't about making you sleep or forcing a process that is unnatural.
Instead,
We will focus lovingly and gently on calming your nervous system,
Creating safety and allowing you to arrive into sleep in your own natural way.
So with me,
You can breathe in through your nose,
Into your belly,
And out through your mouth.
Going again,
Breathing in through your nose,
Into your belly,
And out through your mouth.
And we can bring our awareness,
If it isn't there already,
Gently and softly into your body.
Noticing any places that feel unsettled.
Maybe your legs feel restless,
Maybe your stomach,
Your sacral,
Your solar plexus,
Is buzzing with tension.
Instead of trying to calm these sensations,
Trying to push away any judgment or cycle of thoughts,
Cycles of fear,
Here with me,
Holding you,
Simply acknowledge them.
Simply see them from as much awareness and loving presence as you can.
And your body is and forever will be a communicator.
And in its divine and magical communication,
It is often releasing leftover signals.
So imagine giving these signals,
These sensations,
These feelings,
A little more space.
A little more space to exist.
Not tightening or analyzing.
Just space.
And becoming aware of how the body reacts and even relaxes when it realizes that it no longer needs to.
Needs to fight itself.
Taking a slow breath in.
And slow breath out.
Going again,
One more slow breath in.
And again,
Reminding you that your body is allowed to take its time.
Reminding you that your body has its own pace.
Now,
Continuing with the flow of your loving awareness and attention.
Bring even more of your inner seeing,
Inner viewing to your breath.
The soft,
Gentle movement of air entering your body and leaving once more.
Breathing in through the nose.
And breathing out through the mouth.
Letting each exhale become smooth and unhurried.
And in each inhale,
Creating more space.
Softening and slowing down with each breath.
As your body begins to trust the stillness of the night,
Stillness of the space around you.
Often,
The body holds leftover energy.
Often,
The body holds leftover vibrations,
Communications,
Signals from your day.
So,
Hear with me once more.
Instead of trying to suppress and push or even judge,
Together,
Let's create more space for the energy to come.
Picturing and seeing a soft wave of warmth beginning at the top of your head and starting to move through your system,
Move and flow downward,
Down through your body.
And with each inhale and exhale,
This warmth shifts and flows across your system.
Across your forehead.
Softening the muscles around your eyes,
Around your jaw,
Your neck.
And as the breath moves,
So does the warmth into your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your hands,
Any restless and stagnant energy simply flowing downward like water.
Finding its way back to Earth.
As it moves and flows across your chest,
Your ribs,
And down into your belly.
These areas often carry the sensations that make sleep difficult.
Sensations and anxious fears that make sleep hard to release into.
So,
As the warmth continues to wash and cleanse,
Allow yourself to feel the comfort behind the tension.
Allow yourself to feel the ease behind the fear.
Allow yourself to feel the peace behind the anxious constriction.
And continuing to flow the warmth down,
Down.
Loosening,
Resting.
Your nervous system remembering what it is like to open to rest.
Taking one more breath with me in through your nose.
And breathing out,
Letting go.
Feeling your entire body now floating in calmness,
In a vast sea and ocean of rest.
Deep,
Peaceful stillness.
Your body,
Your system supported from every direction.
Nothing to hold,
Nothing to control.
Your breath becoming quieter.
Your thoughts becoming softer.
And letting the sound of my voice become more distant,
More distant.
Knowing that here,
There is nothing left for you to do.
Your body and everything that it's made up of already knows how to sleep.
Your nervous system already knows how to restore itself.
So as everything continues to fade,
Everything continues to drop back into rest.
Knowing that you have all of the ability to transcend,
To transform,
To release.
That which stops you,
That which is in your way of where you want to be.
And tonight,
Where you want to be and where you are is rest.
So allowing your body to sink even deeper.
Feeling the comfort of my voice,
My energy,
My heart holding you as you fall and drift off into sleep.
Knowing that you are full,
You are whole.
