Hello lovely,
The seasons are turning and it's time for us to dive into some water magic.
Welcome to Lake Reflections.
It's time to bring the stillness of the soft dark into the edge of the light.
It's time to breathe into the awakening stretches that warmth brings.
Bright frosts are melting into the thawing ground.
Early morning dew sparkles in a warmer sunshine.
Whenever you want to be supported in peace and stillness while turning to a new season of growth in your life,
This is the session for you.
I'll lead you into relaxation,
Guide you deeper into yourself,
Suggest a path of contemplation,
Allow you to rest quietly in that space for a few minutes and then return and lead you back to the surface.
Let's begin.
Lean back in your chair,
Feel how it supports you.
Put your feet flat on the ground,
Let your hands open softly where they rest in your lap.
Soften your gaze,
Allow it to become unfocused,
Your eyelids to droop.
Feel how your breath naturally deepens as your body softens and becomes heavier.
Take a deep breath down into your low belly,
Sigh it out and again breathe deep into your belly and sigh it out.
Keep your breathing slow and deep,
Let it be soft,
Gentle,
Currents swirling deep inside you.
Sink into your seat.
Feel your sitting bones melt as you lose your edges and flow with my voice.
Close your eyes,
Softly,
Completely.
Your eyes are shut,
Comfortably shut,
Completely shut,
Sealed shut.
Relax,
Feel your breathing fall into your natural rhythm,
There's no need to do anything.
My voice is soft,
A pale blue mist of gentle sound settling on your head and shoulders.
Where the mist touches your body,
You feel a slight tingle,
A warming sensation.
The blue mist filters down through your head,
Your neck,
Flowing through your arms,
Elbows,
Wrists,
Fingers,
Down through your chest and belly.
Every vein,
Drop of moisture in your body is its own stream of life flowing through you.
The pale blue mist continues through your pelvis,
And you feel perfectly comfortable,
Settled.
It flows through your thighs,
Your knees,
All the way down to your ankles,
Filling your feet and toes.
As the mist flows through your entire body,
You feel lighter,
Buoyant,
Feel cleansed,
Anointed by nature's breath.
Imagine you are standing at the edge of a lake.
The dark still water stretches out before you,
To the foot of a distant snow-capped mountain range.
The day is cold,
Yet you are perfectly comfortable.
Fur trees cover the lower slopes of the far-off mountains,
So far away they seem more like moss over stone than giant trees.
A white clear sun shines over a dip in the top of the mountains.
Diamond points of light are scattered over the distant white snow.
Look down at your bare feet.
You are standing on smooth,
Flat pebbles.
They massage the soles of your feet.
You brush your feet over their coolness,
Feeling them shift and hearing them clatter.
The trees on either side of you are naked,
Silver bark,
Bare and beautiful.
They frame the near shore of the vast lake.
Their twisting branches make curious shapes and pull your eyes to trace the patterns they create against the clear blue sky.
The wind breathes from behind you over the water,
With barely a ripple breaking its mirror surface.
Take a step into the water.
It covers your feet.
Your skin tingles awake and it feels delicious.
The beat of your blood slows.
The outside of your body has no edges.
You and the water are matched in temperature.
Wade into the water to your knees,
Your form is naked as the trees that surround you and hold this space safe.
There are only you and the water,
The mountains and the sun within the embrace of this thawing winter forest.
Take three more steps.
Feel the way the water supports your balanced movement.
The water is at the top of your thigh.
Bend your knees,
Push off with your feet and fall gently into the embrace of the lake.
Roll onto your back and float,
Feeling your breath lift you up and down with the wash of the water.
You are perfectly comfortable.
Knowing you are safe,
You sink beneath the water and breathing is not needed.
There is magic here.
Your whole body drifts.
Looking up through the surface of the lake,
You see the sky as the mirror now instead of the water.
I will leave you here to explore,
To swirl with deep currents,
To find stillness and clarity.
You will be shown reflections of your deepest self.
If your mind wanders,
Float on your back and watch the sky through the surface of the lake.
You are safe and loved.
I will return for you soon.
There are sparks calling your attention on the surface of the water.
Gold patterns ripple over the lake.
Sunbeams break the surface and find you.
Paint your body in possibility.
Stroke your way to the surface,
Break through into the glorious golden sunlight and breathe deeply the new season.
The sun sparkles over the lake.
Warming breeze ripples the surface and it dances with the stirring that new adventure brings.
Swim back to the edge of the lake.
It's easy and you are relaxed and warming in the gentle sunlight.
Step onto the shore.
The smooth pebbles are warm beneath your feet.
Beads of water glitter on your skin.
Hold your arms out wide.
Turn slowly on the spot and allow the sun to dry your body.
There is a sheltered fire burning in a small pit.
There is a log next to it,
Perfect for sitting on.
On the log is a blanket waiting for you.
Wrap it around your shoulders and sit next to the fire.
Hear the crackle of the flames,
The lapping of the water at the edge of the lake.
It's time to come back to your body.
Here in the room where you are you will bring the cool of the water,
The clarity you found beneath the surface,
The warmth of the sun,
The fire,
The new light and possibility.
Now become aware of the pressure of your body against your seat.
Wriggle your toes,
Wiggle your fingers,
Move your tongue around inside your mouth.
Open your eyes,
Say out loud to me now,
I am fully awake and present.
Welcome back lovely one.
