Settle into your chair.
Breathe deeply into your low belly and sigh out through your mouth.
Allow the weight of your bones to anchor you.
Sink into your seat.
Each breath that flows deeply into your belly takes you a little deeper.
Your seat becomes softer.
Your bones respond to your quieting breaths,
Anchoring you,
Grounding you,
Holding you.
Follow my voice.
I'm holding you now.
Close your eyes,
Softly,
Completely.
Your eyes are shut.
Comfortably shut.
Completely shut.
Sealed shut.
Your breathing is soft and flows easily in and out through your nose.
It has its own rhythm.
Occasionally you sigh deeply as your being responds to your intention to go inwards.
Sink into that feeling of release.
Hear my voice curving around you,
Holding you safe.
Now focus your awareness at the very centre of the top of your head,
Your crown point.
Feel the soft pressure of my hand there.
Where I place my palm on your crown,
Velvet warmth builds.
It flows like dark sweet syrup into the bones of your skull.
The soft warmth drips down through the tiny bones of your middle ear,
Flowing into your jaw,
Your teeth.
The dark flow of warmth feels so wonderful.
It gathers at the top vertebrae of your spine,
Spilling over and soaking into one after the other,
Down your spine.
The dark warmth spreads out through the blades of your shoulders.
It soaks into the marrow at the centre of the bones of your arms,
Through your elbows and wrists,
Into your fingers.
It continues its flow through your spine.
Deep warmth spreads out into your ribs,
Surrounding you with molten bands of relaxation.
Sweet softness spreads out into the bones of your pelvic cradle,
Rocking you gently as it soaks into the centre of your sitting bones.
There is deep stillness here.
It enfolds you like velvet cloth,
The colour of dark chocolate.
Breathe with the smooth liquid flow of warmth as it enters the tops of your thigh bones.
The strength of the softening of your bones carries you deeper.
Warmth flows down through your knees,
Into your shin bones.
As it flows through all the tiny bones of your ankles and feet and toes,
You are entirely peaceful.
Your deep warm relaxation flows through the soles of your feet,
Melting into the cool dormant earth,
Seeking the deeper places that radiate heat.
This magic is shielded and patient.
Your breath is deep and smooth.
Imagine you are standing on a thick carpet of winter leaves.
They are cool and you are comfortable even though you have bare feet.
You are in the centre of a small clearing in the forest.
Thick strong trees surround the clearing.
Their bare branches reach high into the air,
Arching towards you.
Their roots are gnarled,
Each woven into its neighbours.
The trees are your guardians for the time you spend here.
They shield you from cold winds.
The forest beyond the clearing is thickly wooded.
The trees mark the circle of your power.
You stand at the centre.
You are the still point.
Allow everything else to fall away.
Be here,
In your centre.
Sit down,
Place your palms on the leaves,
Feel them crinkle,
Smell the essence of autumn memories.
Each memory captured forever part of the web of life.
Close your fist around a leaf.
Crack it apart between your fingers.
Watch the particles settle back into the carpet of leaves.
Breathe into the release of the season.
There are memories and patterns that have served you well.
However,
It is time for you to allow one of them to fall away.
Everything is okay.
You are safe.
Someone is entering the clearing from the left side.
It is your keeper of wisdom,
The scribe of your life.
Hold out your left hand,
Palm up.
Let the keeper know you are ready to receive their presence.
The keeper places a palm gently on top of your own,
And you sit,
Facing each other.
Look deeply into the eyes of the keeper.
You don't need words.
There is a pattern ready to be shed.
Maybe a behaviour that no longer serves you best.
Maybe a memory that struggles to be true,
But is simply no longer relevant.
Allow it to flow to your keeper.
Allow it to crumble and settle back into the web of life.
I will leave you here now,
Safe and held.
If your mind wanders,
Come back to your breath.
Come back to the eyes of your keeper.
I will call for you in a little while.
Come back to the eyes of your keeper.
You you you you you you you you you you you you I know you are deep it's time to return the keeper stands and extends one hand to you raise yourself up to meet them place your right hand palm down on top of their hand you feel a surge of heat leave your hand and flow down into the keeper's the keeper walks towards the trees on the right side of the clearing towards the sun filtering its warm beams of light through the bare branches each footstep of the keeper scatters the leaves exposing bare earth and pressing a footprint there walk beside the keeper's footprints towards the forest at the center of each footprint a green shoot is unfurling when you reach the trees turn back and look towards the center each step holds new life a white drop of possibility held up by new and delicate green it's time to turn your face to the warmth of the sun it's time to leave the clearing hear my voice and let yourself rise to meet me where I am keep your eyes closed take your time with your eyes still closed feel the connection of your feet on the floor wiggle your toes feel the pressure of your body against the chair wiggle your fingers move your tongue around inside your mouth open your eyes say out loud to me now I am fully awake and completely present welcome back lovely one welcome back lovely one
