Close your eyes.
Put your feet flat on the floor.
Settle into your seat.
Lean back.
Feel how the chair supports you.
Let it support you and feel the contact between your body and the chair.
Let your hands open gently in your lap.
Take a nice deep breath.
And let it out with a sigh.
Now take another deep breath and feel it fill your belly.
Before you again sigh it out.
Imagine one tiny point of light drifting down towards the top of your head.
It settles onto your crown and you feel a spot of warmth where the point of light enters.
The spark of light moves down into the centre of your head and splits into two.
The two glowing grains each split again.
The tiny points of light continue to grow in number.
And when your whole head is filled with swirling glittering the light begins to move down your neck.
Your jaw releases.
Your tongue relaxes.
Millions of tiny points of light flow down into your shoulders.
Your shoulders drop.
Your scalp softens.
The glowing seeds of light flow down your arms.
Filling them all the way down to the tips of your fingers.
The light sifts down into your torso.
Down into your belly.
The soft glittering glow flows into your pelvis.
You are so comfortable.
The light moves into your thighs.
Flows easily through your knees.
All the way down to your ankles.
And into your feet and toes.
Imagine you are standing on bare red earth.
The dirt is soft.
Look down at your bare feet.
They are sunk in a powder soft layer of fine red dust.
The dust is deep.
It covers the tops of your feet.
It is late afternoon.
It's that in between time right before purple evening melts the sky.
The air is comfortably warm.
Evening insects buzz gently in the distance.
You are at the top of a small hill.
There is a lake in front of you and you can hear the water lapping the shore.
Walk down the hill towards the lake.
You are wearing a soft robe as soft as the dust covering your feet.
Stop walking when you reach the tree beside the shore of the lake.
Take off your robe and hang it on the low branch.
Kneel down in the dust.
Press your hands into the earth's soft body and make prints.
Write your name.
Stretch out on your tummy over the place you pressed your hand prints.
I want you to roll in the red dirt until you are completely covered in the dust.
I want you to roll in the red dirt until you are completely covered.
Toe nails to hair tips.
Stand up and walk to the edge of the lake.
Put just your hands into the water.
With your hands in the water think about the part of your body you have a hard time with.
With your hands in the water think about the part of your body you have a hard time loving.
Stand up and press whole hand prints onto the part of your body you were focusing on.
Pour as much love as you can muster into your hands and beam it into yourself.
Into that unloved place.
Now lean down and put your hands into the lake again.
Swirl them around.
Stand up and pat your wet hands all over your dust covered body.
You are cave painting over your body.
Trail your fingers to make lines.
Wet your hands as often as you need to.
It's time to wash yourself clear.
Purple dusk has claimed the sky.
The full moon is rising painting a path of silver on the water.
The path leads to an island in the center of the lake.
Stand tall.
Step into the water where the path begins.
Dive in and glide.
It's easy.
You feel relaxed,
Refreshed,
Embraced.
Swim through the water to the island in the center of the lake.
You reach the shallows of the island.
Stand up and wade to the shore.
Hold out your arms and feel the warm air swirl gently around you,
Drying your body.
The Great Mother,
The Earth herself in human form,
Steps out of the grove in front of you.
She wraps you in a large sheet of soft cloth and puts her arm around you.
You feel welcome and loved to the core of your being.
You see a glow beyond the trees.
It's dancing with crimson,
Gold and orange.
Your guide leads you to the clearing and you sit,
Wrapped warm in your cloth,
Beside the fire.
Your guide sits on the other side of the fire.
You have to look through the flames to see each other.
Watch the sparks spin up into the night sky from the tips of the crackling flames.
Travel up with the sparks.
It's as though the sparks are the stars and the stars are sifting down to form the flames.
And you feel connected to all of it.
The fire,
The sparks,
The stars,
The velvet dark.
When you are ready,
You will tell your guide about one part of yourself that is impossible to love.
It's okay if you can't find the words.
It's okay to just look into the eyes of your guide.
Feel the connection to her.
She is you as much as you are the fire and the stars.
I'll leave you here to talk,
To contemplate.
You are safe and loved.
I'll return for you soon.
Thank you.
You are safe and loved.
I'll return for you soon.
Thank you.
You are safe and loved.
I'll return for you soon.
Thank you.
You are safe and loved.
