Day 28 Nature Meditation Step outside into a park or your backyard.
If you are ill,
Imagine you are outdoors at a place you love.
Find a quiet place to stand and close your eyes.
Breathe deeply and feel the fresh air fill your lungs.
Listen to the sounds you hear,
The sounds that are closest and farthest away.
The sounds you find most pleasurable.
Feel the clothes against your skin,
The breeze on your face.
See if you can detect a scent in the air.
Feel the temperature of the air as you breathe it in.
Is there any scent strong enough that you can taste it on your tongue?
Perceive the taste of your own mouth.
Sense the objects around you.
Can you perceive the trees or plants near you without seeing them?
Now open your eyes and imagine as if you are seeing what reveals itself to you for the very first time.
Imagine that everything you see also sees you.
The sound of birds chirping.
Imagine that every tree,
Every flower,
Every bird,
Every bird,
Every bird,
Every bird,
Body of water,
The rocks and the sun send you greetings and acknowledgement.
Imagine that they accept you as a part of this life.
Imagine that they are a part of this land who belongs here,
Even just temporarily.
That they will miss you when you aren't there.
That they want to know you better and share with you their wisdom and their own kind of knowledge.
They want to know you and they want you to know them.
They are your relations.
They are always there if you feel lonely.
They will always lend you support.
They love you.
You are a part of them.
The sound of birds chirping.
When you are ready,
Open your eyes.
