Let's take a break for a moment from the constant doing,
The moving from one thing to the next,
And the subtle pressure to keep going.
Let's just pause right here in the middle of your day.
Nothing to do,
Nothing to fix,
Just notice what's happening with inside of you.
Notice the pace of your thoughts,
Notice the tone of your body,
Notice the energy you're carrying right now,
Without judging it,
Just become aware.
Let's anchor ourselves through the breath and become aware of its rhythm.
Notice how you're breathing right now,
Is it shallow,
Maybe you can barely feel it at all,
And that's ok.
Let's just stay with the breath,
Following each inhale and each exhale.
This steady rhythm is something you can always come back to throughout your day,
To check in,
To feel grounded,
Try and allow your body to relax,
Taking a deep inhale and a soft exhale.
Again,
Inhale gently and exhale with a sigh,
With each exhale releasing the need to rush,
Releasing the need to brace for life,
Allowing your shoulders to drop just a little,
Softening your belly,
Relaxing the muscles in your face,
For this moment,
Allow things to feel a little lighter,
Feel your body here,
Grounded,
Supported,
And notice even a small shift in how you feel.
You can move through your day like this,
Not rushed,
Not disconnected,
But here.
Take a few more steady breaths in,
And some slow breaths out,
And when you're ready,
Come back to the space around you.
At any point in your day when you feel disconnected or overwhelmed,
You can pause,
You can reset,
And come home to yourself.
