Take a moment before we begin,
And allow your body to arrive,
Perhaps you've been moving through your day,
Thoughts stacking,
Decisions piling,
And the world has been asking so much of you.
This is a pause from all of that,
Not an escape,
Just a breath,
Because clarity isn't somewhere else outside of you,
It's here,
It's always been here,
We just need to be quiet enough for clarity to come through,
So settle in,
And start to notice the weight of your body,
Feeling the surface beneath you,
Holding you,
This is an opportunity to let go,
To allow yourself to be held,
Notice your feet on the surface,
Notice your legs,
Notice the heaviness of your hips,
Allow them to sink deeper into the surface,
Begin to notice your hands,
Uncurl them if they are closed,
Rest them open,
And feel the temperature of the air on your palms,
Draw your attention towards the chest,
How it rises and falls with each breath,
Notice your breath,
Air moving in and out,
On your next inhale,
Breathe in deeper,
Allow the to expand first,
And then the chest,
Hold it gently at the top,
And then begin to release slowly through your mouth,
Let's do this again,
Breathing in,
Belly first,
Then your chest,
And hold,
And let it go gently,
Returning to your natural rhythm,
Allow each exhale to soften something within,
The muscles around your eyes,
The space between your eyebrows,
Allowing your jaw to relax,
You are allowed to be soft,
As you breathe here,
Slowly scan the body from the crown of your head downward,
Noticing any tension,
And breathing in to that tension,
Releasing your cheeks,
Relaxing your throat,
Dropping your shoulders,
Softening the belly,
Allowing your hips and legs to feel heavy,
Relaxing your feet,
You are here,
Fully in your body,
This is our starting place to remember the clarity within,
You might begin to shift your awareness towards the mind,
Notice if it's still moving,
Thoughts of your day,
Your life,
Things you need to do,
Whatever is there,
Don't fight them,
This only makes them louder,
Instead,
Imagine you're sitting beside a river,
And the thoughts are like water,
They move,
They rush,
And they flow,
You are not the river,
You are the one sitting beside it,
So just watch,
As thoughts come,
Let them pass,
And use your breath as an anchor,
If you notice yourself drifting in thought,
Just gently come back,
Come back to the sensations in your body,
Come back to this moment,
Allow this river of thoughts to flow,
It will slow down as we stop feeding it,
So just breathe in,
And breathe out,
Notice the space between each breath,
That subtle pause,
It's where stillness lives,
And as you begin to notice the stillness between your breath,
Something becomes more obvious,
There are parts of you that are undisturbed,
That are quiet,
That are patient,
That are clear,
You've felt this before,
In moments of subtle calm,
There's a space inside you that already knows,
Already has clarity,
So without forcing anything,
Gently ask yourself,
What do I already know,
This isn't about what you think you should know,
Not what others have told you,
What do you know deep down inside,
You don't need to rush an answer,
Just allow it to arise from within your body,
Not your mind,
And if you don't sense anything,
That is clarity too,
The absence of noise is its own answer,
Trust what's here,
Trust the stillness,
Breathe into the moment,
And allow yourself to rest,
Slowly begin to come back to your body,
Noticing the surface beneath you again,
Noticing the sounds around you,
Noticing your breath,
Creating subtle movements like wiggling your fingers and toes,
As you allow your awareness to return to the room around you,
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
You don't need to rush back into the world,
Just take a moment to sit,
The clarity you touched is here,
Travels with you,
It is you,
