Oftentimes our mind starts to wander.
And we get stuck in a pattern of looping worries and stress.
And a lot of times we just need to drop back into the body.
Back into ourselves to stop the pattern.
To alleviate some of the anxiety.
So we can move forward with clarity.
So I invite you to find a comfortable position.
Whether that's seated or lying down.
Allow your body to be supported.
And gently close your eyes.
Begin by noticing the effort you've been carrying.
The constant thinking,
Planning,
Or bracing.
For a moment,
Let's not try and solve anything.
Let's just arrive.
Invite you to bring your attention to your head.
And just notice the activity there.
Thoughts moving,
Stories looping.
There's nothing wrong with this.
The mind is simply trying to protect you.
So gently guide your awareness downward.
Out of your head and into your body.
As if you're traveling down through the throat into the chest.
And down into the belly.
Bringing your awareness to your breath,
Moving through your body.
Inhale slowly through your nose feel the belly gently rise and exhale through your mouth.
Let the belly soften and fall.
Again,
Inhale feeling expansion.
Exhale,
Feeling release.
Each exhale invites you deeper into the body.
Further away from the noise of the mind.
Allow the breath to settle into its own natural rhythm.
Just notice how effortlessly you breathe.
Notice where your body is being held the surface,
Supporting your weight.
Ground beneath you.
Allowing your shoulders to soften.
Relaxing your jaw.
Letting your belly be free.
If anxiety is still present,
Notice where it shows up physically.
Without labeling,
Without fixing,
Just notice.
Place a gentle hand on that area if it feels supportive.
Allow the breath to move there.
As if you're breathing into the sensation.
And breathing around it.
Maybe imagine softening the edges just a little cradling it in your hands.
He might ask this part of you,
What are you trying to tell me?
How can I support you?
Just notice anything that arises without judgment.
There's nothing you need to push away.
The body knows how to release when it's safe.
Rest your awareness in the body as a whole.
Breathing.
Sensing being.
Silently repeat to yourself.
In this moment,
I am safe.
I can meet myself exactly as I am.
I am allowed to slow down.
Let's bring our awareness back to the room.
Notice sounds,
Light and temperature.
Take one final deep breath in.
And slowly breathe it out.
When you're ready,
Softly open your eyes.
Carry this embodied presence with you.
Not as something to hold on to.
But as something you can return to.
