Explore MeditationAmy has been teaching yoga since 2002, completing her first certification through the Temple of Kriya Yoga, Chicago, in 2003. In 2014, she completed her first yoga therapy training and in June 2015, received a certification of completion from Duke Integrative Medicine for Jim and Kimberly Carson's Mindful Yoga for Cancer (formerly Yoga of Awareness for Cancer). She completed level 2 of this training through Mindful Yoga Works in 2016. Amy is a Level 1 i-Rest Teacher and has also completed Level 1 of Sevanti Institute's Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner Training. Adam Gainsburg's Breath of the Soul Meditation training also informs her heart-centered approach to yoga therapy. In 2022, Amy completed both the 200-hour Sound Healing Certification and the 300/500-hour Advanced Teacher Training through Heart of Sound. Amy is also a professional astrologer and a visual artist (BFA MCAD). Noticing patterns, resonance, dissonance, and synchronicity in daily life and larger cycles fills her with a sense of wonder and awe. She believes that these synchronous moments are little nods from the Universe, affirming our place within this symphony of Life experience.
