Good morning and welcome to those who are near and to those who are far.
This morning,
This afternoon,
Or this evening,
We will be stilling the mind and observing it for exactly what it is.
Resting in our meditation.
Coming into the body.
Coming in.
Feeling the ground beneath you.
Feeling your clothes touching your skin.
Feeling the warmth of your body.
Feeling the in and out flow of the breath.
Keep the eyes open and choose a point.
Perhaps an object or just a place.
Or if you're a little more experienced,
Simply observe the space in front of you.
And begin to follow the breath.
Feel the breath coming in through the nostrils,
Down into the abdomen,
And back out.
You aren't forcing the breath one way or another.
You aren't constricting or constraining it.
You're simply allowing it to settle.
With each breath becoming more relaxed.
Feeling the body become relaxed.
And with the mind observing the space in front of you.
Now,
As thoughts come up,
Simply let them come up.
Do not see them as distractions.
Do not see them as enemies or adversaries.
Do not see them as negative or as positive,
Even if they seem absolutely profound.
Tend neutrally to the space of all phenomena and take the mind as the path.
Maintain awareness and focus on your object,
Whether it is the space in front of you,
An object,
A Buddha,
Or something.
Dwelling in a place of non-judgment,
Attend equally to all things and rest there,
Letting the mind settle back into its primordial consciousness.
In these moments,
Even the chances of coolness corresponding to thesp겠어요,
The pictures of selflessness,
Of immortality,
Of mentaláb Hotel,
Or even of ap celebrated Rao de Boni.
Notice.
When you wander,
Return.
And when you return,
Refocus and allow the mind to settle in that state of ultimate non-doing.
When you return,
Refocus and allow the mind to settle in that state of ultimate non-doing.
The mind of the Buddha and the mind of the awakened self is indistinguishable from this nature that directly presents itself to us.
Resting here in neutral and non-judgmental,
Spacious presence and awareness,
Simply observing the mind and all the phenomena that it makes arise.
This is practicing towards a non-dual,
Absolute space of phenomena.
Do not get caught up in trying.
Or not trying.
Don't get caught up in whether you are doing a good job or a bad job.
The practice of meditation is simply this.
The practice of shamatha is simply this.
The practice of meditation is simply this.
All sounds in a single note.
All experiences in a single taste.
All concepts in a single instance.
The past,
The future,
The present.
It is this mind you now observe.
It is this mind you now yoke.
It is this mind you now observe.
The nature of reality when the mind is allowed to be observed and when it is honed and stilled through practice is originally pure.
It is intellectual,
Yet it transcends intellect.
The enlightened mind and pure reality when observed is free of conceptual elaboration.
This reality is present and freely presented,
But is obscured by conceiving of a self and grasping at duality.
So rest in this nature of mind,
Observing reality for exactly what it is,
Here and now,
For the remaining six minutes.
Thank you.
