Welcome to this space of evolution.

I am Luis Marquez,

And today in this excerpt from the fourth audio of Ingredients for Awakening,

We will remember the relevance of the sorrows that afflict us for our spiritual development.

When we resist reality,

We generate suffering.

Wanting to avoid pain is natural and healthy,

But becomes harmful when experienced with anguish and excessive concern.

Our afflictions soften our ego.

They wear it out.

In the face of difficulties that we do not control,

We become humbler.

We connect with our vulnerability,

Which makes us more understanding and tender.

We endure the afflictions that best suit our transformation at that given moment.

Tribulations force us to change.

Our pain is the fuel of an internal metamorphosis.

When we add consciousness,

The pain can be transmuted,

Guiding us towards the sublime.

I encourage you to connect with your breath,

Letting your body breathe as needed.

Once you have settled in,

I would like you to come into contact with some difficulty that you are currently experiencing,

Or that is still present for you even if it happened a long time ago.

Try to accept this situation without any value judgment.

Try to accept it as it is,

Even just for a moment.

Maybe it is adjusting the scale of your values and priorities.

Breathe.

Increase your awareness a little more.

Contemplate your wound.

Embrace your pain.

Now let the unrefined give way to the purest.

Continue paying attention.

Continue dissolving yourself.
