Upon the request of a student who was recently detected with stage 4 cancer, Jay created this series for anyone dealing with terminal illness or chronic pain. Pain is inevitable in life. Suffering is optional. Today, Jay will walk you through a profound Buddhist visualisation practice, intended to provide consolation on the concept of death and promote the notion of a peaceful eternity. Over the course of 7 days, Jay will lead you through a series of guided imagery that will decouple the pain from suffering. In this process, it is hoped that you will find some relief and assistance in healing the body.

The Buddha said,

Of all the footprints,

Those of the elephant is supreme.

Of all the meditations,

That upon death is supreme.

Today I will walk you through one such meditation.

When you have died,

The body is cremated.

You are detached,

Selfless,

Light and conscious.

The role that you have been associated with for so long does not exist anymore.

Watch the scene as if from beyond.

Watch the play continuing and unfolding like a film in which your role does not exist anymore.

Watch those people who were near and dear to you move on with their lives.

The play continues just as the seasons come and go.

Notice how you feel right now.

Thank you.

Join me tomorrow for the next and the final meditation of this series.

Mind expanding to put in a few minutes into pondering what we all dread. I now feel light and calm.
