Come to sit in a comfortable position or feel free to lie down making sure as always that you have a straight spine.
Softly close your eyes and begin to slow down your thinking mind.
Now increasing the depths of the breath.
On each inhale you're bringing in cleansing,
Nourishing oxygen and as you fully exhale you're releasing tension in the body.
Letting go of any remaining tension in the muscles and the joints and just the act of doing this is giving yourself permission to surrender.
You're forcing your body to let go.
Allow thoughts to pass through without resistance or attachment.
Let them go as quickly as they appear.
And slowing thoughts down until eventually you come to a point of stillness in the mind.
Maybe one or two thoughts come in at a slower pace and you may be finding it easier to just let them go.
And now see if you can create a blank space in your mind free of all thoughts with the only attention being on the sound and guidance from my voice.
Take a moment to enjoy this stillness.
Maintaining the awareness of the breath.
Embrace this rested state of mind.
Keeping your eyes closed bring your full attention to the area of the third eye.
Your eyes may move but still keep your eyes closed.
Visualize a wheel of energy,
The color indigo.
And stay focused on this for the next few breaths.
Slowly raise your hand and bring the pad of your finger to gently touch the area in the center of your forehead between the eyebrows.
Start to increase the pressure of the touch very gradually.
And when it's firmly in place and comfortable for you keep it there for a count of five deep breaths.
Now bring your hand back into a rested position and ask your third eye to awaken.
Say in your mind that you trust your inner guidance and you are willing to accept its messages.
Be willing and open to receiving.
Maybe at this point you don't have a particular question.
But if you do just ask and take your time to listen intently to the answer.
If answers don't come right now that's okay.
They may come later or you can meditate on this again.
Maybe an image has come into your vision or you might get an obvious message from your internal voice.
Whatever presents itself allow it to come in.
Focus on it for a moment to fully acknowledge and absorb it.
Slowly and mindfully begin to bring your attention back to your breath.
Allowing your physical body to awaken in its own time.
Listen to your body.
Maybe it's time to make some small movements.
Deepen the breath.
Have a stretch out whatever you feel you need.
Place your hands in prayer position at your heart space.
Have a moment of gratitude towards yourself for allowing you this time for self care and spiritual growth.
