Welcome to this meditation practice for bringing awareness,
Healing and balance into the seven primary chakras.
For this practice you can be seated or lying down,
Keeping a neutral spine if possible,
Allowing the spine to be long.
You might want to tuck the chin into the chest and just starting to ground through the points of the body that are in contact with the floor or the ground.
Connecting with these points and starting to inhale mindfully and deeply.
As you exhale think about releasing any tension,
Whether that is physical or mental or emotional,
Just breathing the body into a state of ease,
Letting go of anything that is not serving you right now with each exhale.
And now bring your awareness to the central energy channel from the base of the spine all the way up the spine,
Through the head to the crown and as you breathe direct the inhale directly through this channel in an upwards direction.
In through the base of the spine,
Taking the breath in all the way up to the crown of the head and then releasing on the exhale with no effort.
We'll do a few rounds of this and just seeing if you can connect with the life force energy that is moving through this energy channel within your body.
If the mind wanders just come back to the breath,
Back to the awareness of the energy flowing freely through this channel.
Staying present and focused and now shifting your whole attention to the root chakra at the base of the spine,
Extending through the legs all the way through the feet to the tips of the toes.
And you can visualize the color red or a dark brown and with the breath just directing that energy into the area of the root chakra.
Deep inhales bringing in that life force energy and starting to think about your connection to the earth,
That sense of belonging.
You may want to visualize roots coming from the soles of the feet,
Binding you into the earth,
Bringing in feelings of stability and security and also feelings of strength,
Knowing that you can weather any storm.
You're rooted down and supported by mother earth.
Taking three more long slow mindful breaths into the root chakra,
Muladhara and now bringing your awareness up into the sacral chakra,
Lower abdomen,
The space below the navel and you may want to visualize the color orange.
Breathing deeply into the sacral chakra,
Connecting with any feelings and subtle sensations in this area,
Thinking about your desires,
The things that bring you joy and pleasure.
Long slow deep mindful breaths into the sacral chakra,
Svadhisthana.
This area is a place where we can often hold old emotional energy so just see if you can connect with anything that has stagnated here and give it permission to move through.
Emotions are energy in motion,
They're designed to move through us.
Three more breaths into the sacral chakra,
Shifting the awareness up now into the solar plexus chakra,
The area just above the navel,
Below the ribs and you may want to visualize a bright sunshine yellow color.
Allow it to radiate through the body,
Extending out into the energy field,
Inhaling into the solar plexus chakra,
Exhaling to release any stagnation,
Any feelings of unworthiness,
Connecting with your personal power,
Connecting with your authenticity,
Your inner light,
Your unique and pure self.
Taking three more long slow deep mindful breaths into the solar plexus chakra,
Manipura and now becoming aware of your heart chakra,
The center of the chest extending out through the shoulders,
Arms,
Hands and fingers,
Visualizing the color green or pink,
Breathing into the chest and just feeling this area expand physically as you send the breath through the sides of the chest,
Into the shoulders,
Down the arms and into the hands and if it feels right you might want to just give yourself a hug as you connect with the frequency of love,
Connecting with compassion and joy.
Notice all sensations and feelings within the area of the heart chakra,
Anahata.
Taking three more deep breaths deep into the heart center,
Allow the inhale to extend out.
The heart chakra is also seen as the seat of the soul,
This is our gateway to higher levels of consciousness so maybe just taking a moment to ask yourself am i living from the heart?
Am i connected to my heart?
Allow the breath to guide you into the space of the throat chakra in the center of the neck,
Visualize the color blue and think of the neck as a bridgeway between the heart and the head,
Feel the sensations of the breath as it passes through the neck into the space of the heart and as you exhale connect with the sensations of the breath and allow it to fill up the whole area of the jaw and the mouth as you ask yourself am i expressing my authentic self with ease and am i comfortable with silence?
Do i allow others to express themselves freely?
Taking three more breaths here breathing into the throat chakra and now bringing your awareness to the third eye chakra,
The space between the eyebrows.
If your eyes are closed you may want to shift the internal gaze up to the third eye with the option to connect with the color indigo,
Directing the inhales into the third eye chakra,
Ajna,
Connecting with your inner wisdom,
Your inner guide,
Breathing in a sense of clarity exhaling to release any unnecessary or unhelpful thought patterns that could have been weighing you down and maybe just taking a moment to give thanks to your inner guide,
This part of you that always knows,
Knows the way,
Knows the answer.
Taking three more mindful breaths into the third eye chakra and now bringing your awareness to the crown chakra,
The space just above the top of the head you may want to visualize a lilac color or a white energizing light allowing this whole area to open and expand as you connect to the divine energy,
Connect to your higher self and just acknowledging that you are part of something far greater than your mind can comprehend,
Start to feel at one with the existence of everything,
You are not separate,
You are not part of it,
You are it breathing into the crown chakra,
Sahasrara,
Three more breaths and now we'll just take a moment to reground,
Staying with the breath and sending the inhales all the way through to the soles of the feet,
Filling up the entire body,
Bringing new energy and vitality into all the cells and really just connecting back into the physical presence of you as you breathe the body awake you may want to wiggle toes and fingers or stretch,
Making any movements that feel good for you right now,
When you're ready slowly blinking the eyes open if they were closed and just having a moment of gratitude for yourself for allowing you this time and space to journey through your seven primary chakras and just know that this practice is available to you whenever you need to find balance,
Clarity and healing in your everyday life and thank you for trusting me to guide you today
