In this guided meditation, we focus our attention on our inner radiance, our inner sunshine that has the power to purify and cleanse the clouds away. Clouds can be excessive thinking, our life dramas, our hurts... By practicing, we remember that the clouds are temporary, and serve as learning opportunities. Our work is to realise that inner light is always there to receive us.

Welcome,

My name is Evangelos.

I am a Dharma teacher and one of the co-founders of Four Ways to Freedom.

Today we're going to do the Clear Sky Sunshine Meditation.

Please find a comfortable position for you to sit in or lay down.

Take time for yourself.

Make sure that there's nothing holding you tight like tight buttons on your shirt or tight pants.

Just be nice and loose,

Relaxed,

Open.

This is your time to reconnect.

Start to tune into your breath.

Feel your breath as it enters the body.

Feel it nourishing you,

Sustaining you,

Giving you life.

Focus on how the breath expands your chest area,

How it opens the lungs and the heart.

And imagine there's a sun in the center of your heart,

A bright light inside yourself.

Imagine that you're lighting yourself from the inside.

You're illuminating yourself,

Radiating rays from the center of your heart.

Feel that warmth.

Feel your inner glow.

You are made of light.

You are made of sunshine.

The proof of this is when you go to sleep at night and you dream and you can see the dreams,

Where does the light come to illuminate your dreams?

What is the source of the light?

It comes from the inside.

It's the sunshine that is you.

So stay focused.

Be aware.

And if you stay with the light at the center of your heart,

You will have a clear sky mind.

Clouds might interrupt you,

But the work is to stay focused on sunshine and breath.

So keep relaxing into that experience.

Can you feel your inner radiance?

Can you feel your sunshine?

The heat of the sun purifies and cleanses and clears things away.

The breath is like the wind that blows the clouds away.

And the clouds,

As I'm speaking of them,

Are a metaphor for physical pain,

Emotional distress,

Mental anguish.

Just let the clouds move through you.

The clouds are temporary.

They're hiding the vastness and the sunshine that is you.

The clouds are illusory and trying to hold on to the clouds creates unnecessary struggle.

Stay with your breath.

Remember,

You need clouds to learn.

Clouds produce rain.

They produce tears.

And we learn from them.

But our work is to let them go.

Our work is to realize that beyond the noise,

Silence is waiting to receive us.

Silence is the sunshine.

And realize that you're not meditating.

Meditation is happening.

Through meditation,

We let go into the vast calm that is the universal sunshine.

Let go of excessive thinking.

Let go of life dramas.

On the other side of these clouds is a clear blue sky and sunshine.

Learn to light yourself up from the inside.

Stay with the breath.

Stay with your inner light.

Keep returning to the natural sunshine.

To the clear sky mind.

Use your breath as an anchor.

Keep breathing.

Relaxing into this moment.

There's nothing wrong with you.

You're just learning to live life.

To live in the mystery.

Be sunshine.

Don't fight the clouds.

They're impermanent.

May we continue to dwell in radiance.

And may we find peace.
