Welcome back.
During this meditation,
We will focus on acknowledging and naming any difficult emotions that come to surface,
To help you release them through the power of your fire element and your inner flame.
Start by coming into a comfortable seated position in a quiet place where you won't be disturbed.
Sit with your back upright but relaxed and your hands gently resting in your lap with your palms facing up.
If you wish,
You can let your eyes half or fully closed if that feels good for you.
If you prefer to keep your eyes open,
Soften your gaze and guide your awareness inwards.
Begin by taking a few deep breaths,
Letting your body relax with each exhale.
Guide your awareness to the sensations within your body.
Notice any sensations that are arising in this present moment.
Gently begin to place one hand over your heart and feel the rhythm of your breath,
Your inhale and exhale.
Mirror the pulsation of your heart.
Each time you notice your mind wandering,
Gently guide your awareness back to your breath and to the beating of your heart.
As you continue to focus on your breath and the pulsation of your heart,
Notice any emotions that begin to surface from within you.
As you notice and acknowledge these emotions,
Ask yourself,
What am I feeling?
What emotion or emotions are present right here,
Right now?
If possible,
Identify the strongest emotion you're experiencing.
Quietly name it.
This might be helplessness,
Anger,
Guilt,
Worry or any other emotion.
Label this emotion by repeating it three times in a kind and gentle voice.
For example,
You might say,
I am feeling anger.
Once you've named this emotion,
Visualize yourself writing that down on a piece of paper.
See yourself write the name of this emotion clearly and then see yourself fold this piece of paper,
Infusing it with the weight of this emotion you are feeling.
Now,
With your next exhale,
Visualize yourself placing the folded paper into the inner flame of your heart,
Your Shen,
Your higher spirit,
Connected to the fire element and your higher self.
Watch as the flame consumes the paper,
Burning it away until all that remains are ashes and then even the ashes dissipate and disappear.
With each exhale,
Feel that even the ashes begin to disintegrate and dissolve,
Gently disappearing.
Feel the weight of this emotion lifting from your body,
Leaving you feeling lighter and more at peace with each exhale.
We'll now continue this process with each unwelcome emotion that may be present within you.
Witness and acknowledge any emotion that is unwelcome,
First labeling it,
Noticing it,
Then writing it down on a piece of paper,
Gently folding it and then offering it to the inner flame of your heart.
Watch as the ashes disintegrate,
Dissolve and disappear.
Take as long as you need with each emotion,
Allowing yourself to fully acknowledge and release it,
Be it guilt,
Resentment,
Worry,
Reminding yourself it is okay to feel these emotions.
By naming and releasing them,
You are creating space for healing and renewal.
Repeat this process as many times as necessary,
Acknowledging any unwelcome emotion,
Labeling it,
Naming it,
Writing it on a piece of paper,
Folding it,
Offering it to the flame of your heart and witnessing it as it disintegrates,
Dissolves and disappears.
Feel free to pause this audio and stay for as long as you wish and need,
Repeating this process for as many times as necessary.
When you feel ready to move on,
With your next breath,
Keeping your hand over your heart,
Feel the warmth,
Self-love and power of your inner flame,
Your shen,
Your spirit and your connection with your fire element within you.
Feel this flame burn bright and steady,
Keeping you warm and safe and bright.
Feel this flame guiding you from inside out as you move forth in your life.
If and when you feel ready to conclude this practice,
Place both palms on top of your heart,
Acknowledging your inner flame.
Gently bow your head down towards your heart,
Sending gladness and gratitude to this little flame inside of you.
Harvest and harness your inner light and let this guide you through the rest of your day and the rest of your life.
If your eyes are closed,
Gently and slowly let them blink open.
