Within the Creative Cycle and the Five Elements, Water, in its natural state, flows freely. It doesn't question whether it should move - it simply follows its nature. Yet when water encounters an obstacle or freezes, that flow stops. Similarly, our creative inspiration can become blocked when fear freezes our natural creative expression. The good news is that water always remembers how to flow once the conditions are right. Your creativity is the same way. Be guided through The Inspiration Well" to help you reconnect with your natural creative flow. Welcome back.

Today we're beginning your journey through the power of the creative cycle and the five elements.

Starting with the water element,

Today we'll explore a simple yet powerful technique called the inspiration well to help you reconnect with your natural creative flow.

I invite you to find a comfortable position either sitting or lying down.

If it feels good for you,

Let your eyes half or fully close.

If you prefer to keep your eyes open,

Soften your gaze and guide your awareness inwards.

Begin by taking three deep breaths,

Feeling your body relax with each exhale.

As you continue to feel your body relax with each exhale,

Imagine yourself walking through a peaceful natural setting.

This might be a forest or a meadow.

In the distance,

You notice a well.

This is your inspiration well.

The source of your creative ideas.

As you approach the well,

Notice its details.

Is it made of stone,

Wood,

Another material?

How deep does your well appear?

And what surrounds your well?

Now look inside your well.

What do you see?

Perhaps there's clear water reflecting your face.

Or something else entirely that represents your creative source.

Place your hands on the rim of the well and as you do,

Acknowledge any fears that have been preventing you from accessing your creativity.

With each fear that comes to mind,

Imagine dropping a small stone into the well,

Watching it disappear into the depths of your well.

These fears may sound like,

I'm afraid my ideas aren't good enough.

Drop this stone into the well.

I'm afraid others will judge me,

All my work.

Drop another stone.

I'm afraid it'll be useless.

I'll be just wasting my time and effort.

Release this stone into the well.

Continue with each fear that comes to your mind,

Visualizing it as a small stone and release it into the well,

Watching as it disappears.

Now,

With these fears acknowledged,

Imagine drawing up water from the well,

The water of inspiration.

As you bring up this water,

Notice its quality.

Is it clear,

Sparkling,

Of a particular color?

How does this water move?

Cup your hands and drink from this water of inspiration.

As it fills you,

Notice how it feels in your body.

Where do you feel it?

How does it change your energy?

Take a moment to receive any ideas,

Images,

Or sensations that arise as you connect with this creative source.

When you're ready,

Thank the well for its gifts,

Knowing you can return anytime.

Then gradually bring your awareness back to the room you're in,

Feeling the weight,

Shape,

And form of your physical body.

And if your eyes are closed,

Gently and slowly,

Let your eyes bling open.

Thank you for joining me today.
