This meditation is your daily dose of inner sunshine.

If you miss a day be gentle with yourself and simply listen to it the very next day.
Commit to this process in the same way you would to a person you love and by doing so the light of self-compassion will burn brightly within you all day long like a candle flame flickering in your heart.
Let's commence.
Softly close your eyes if you haven't already done so.
Sit in an upright comfortable position.
Imagine a line that runs from the base of your spine to the crown of your head.
Roll your left shoulder back and down.
Roll your right shoulder back and down.
Now allow both of your shoulders to drop.
Feel the natural expanse in your chest as you open to this new day.
Anchor your attention on my voice but at the same time remember it is normal for your mind to wander.
Allow space to breathe,
To be,
To find your light within.
Like a radiant mountain you take your place in the world with dignity.
From this elevated state of consciousness before you even begin your day you pause.
You clear your mind.
You liberate yourself from within.
You liberate yourself from the external busyness and internal thoughts.
Your mind is luminous and fresh like the morning dew.
Keeping your eyes firmly closed draw your gaze to the bridge of your nose and then lift your attention to the space between your eyebrows.
Listen to the silence in this space,
Your third eye.
Allow your gaze now to drop to your heart space.
Open your heart like a flower blossoming in spring.
Imagine the light of the sun rising illuminating your world.
Imagine this light filling your heart.
Take a full deep breath in through your nose.
Hold the air in your lungs for as long as is comfortable and then exhale slowly and fully out of your mouth.
The breath is the language of calmness.
Continue to breathe deeply in through your nose holding the breath for as long as is comfortable and then exhaling slowly and fully out your mouth.
Each breath is a new beginning.
Breathe in the light of appreciation for this new day.
Breathe out the residue of your dreams.
Breathe in the light of calmness.
Breathe out busyness.
Breathe in the light of stillness.
Breathe out thoughts.
Breathe in the light of self-acceptance.
Breathe out self-blame.
Breathe in the light of allowing life to unfold.
Breathe out the need to control.
Breathe in the light of self-confidence.
Breathe out self-consciousness.
Breathe in the light of now.
Breathe out the past.
Breathe in the light of blissful presence.
Breathe out planning forward.
Bring your awareness now back to that space between your eyes.
Finding the space between your thoughts.
You are that space.
Float in that space.
From this restful state,
Sharpen your focus and see yourself navigating today with a lightness in your body,
A brightness in your mind.
This unclouded perspective allows you to create an arc in your day that allows you to feel safe and secure.
If challenging thoughts,
Emotions,
Or events arise today,
Remember to accept,
Release,
And show compassion to yourself and to others.
Visualize today as clearly as you can,
As you see yourself remaining present as you carry out your daily activities.
Now,
Choose a prime emotion you wish to bring into this day.
For example,
Love,
Calmness,
Gratitude,
Joy,
Or perhaps you need courage.
Imagine this emotion as a buoyant energy that lifts you up and carries you effortlessly throughout your day.
Where do you feel the light of this emotion in your body?
Place your hand there now.
Breathe.
This emotional state is your lighthouse that keeps you safe.

Remember you are only ever a breath away from stillness,
From peace,
From light.
