Hi,
It's Fiona Bennett and I'm just so happy to share this grounding meditation with you and I hope that you find it restful and restorative and relaxing.
First let's start by sitting straight in a chair with your feet flat on the floor.
Take a nice slow breath in through your nose and out through your nose.
With your next breath,
Take a breath in,
Hold it and then release with a longer breath like this.
Breath in,
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Breathe out,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Again,
Breathe in,
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Out,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Now let your breathing return to its normal rhythm.
Put your attention to the back of your head.
Keep your eyes closed but just concentrate all your attention to the back of your head and breathe.
Feel your body start to relax in the way it wants to.
Feel your shoulders drop.
Begin to scan your body from the top of your head to the tip of your toes.
Look from the inside and see if there are any places of pain or tension.
Is there anywhere that you're holding yourself tight?
Anywhere you feel constricted or restricted?
Allow your breath to flow effortlessly to that place.
Feel it gently caress that spot in you and let your breath float over it and around it and through it.
Notice if it softens and relaxes.
Now check to see if there is another place that needs your loving attention.
Allow your breath to float to that place and begin to feel restoration.
Take your attention to the soles of your feet,
Particularly to the center of the sole and feel the connection of this part of your foot with the surface beneath it.
Really connect there and allow your next breath to travel to that spot.
Breathe in and down to the sole of your foot.
See your breath fan a flame there and see that flame reach out from the sole of your foot down into the ground beneath you.
With each breath the flame travels farther and deeper from the sole of your foot like glowing roots into Mother Earth.
With each breath the flame travels farther and deeper from the sole of your foot like glowing roots into Mother Earth.
With each in breath allow the energy and vitality from Mother Earth to travel back up and to you.
Feel the positive vibrant energy flow up and into you.
Let yourself be flooded with the pure nutrients within her soul.
Let yourself be filled with the energy and love of Mother Earth.
Let yourself be filled with the energy and love of Mother Earth.
Now,
With each out breath breathe out any negativity,
Allow it to release.
Breathe in the positive energy and release any doubt,
Fear,
Shame,
Anger,
Insecurity or pain.
Just let it go.
You are truly grounded with the energy of Mother Earth.
