It's time to get ready for bed.

So make sure that you are comfortable and settle in for however long it is that you want to sleep.

Whether it's a nap or it's all night,

Find your safe space.

Take a long,

Slow breath in through your nose and release it out through your nose.

Feel yourself relax and loosen just a little bit more.

Think to yourself,

I'm safe,

It's time.

Give yourself permission to rest.

Let go of all the busyness of your day and connect to this time and space.

Feel the heaviness in your body.

Feel it unwind and unfold onto the surface of your bed.

As you breathe in,

Expand and as you breathe out,

Relax.

Feel your feet and your toes just flop to the sides.

Feel your calves loosen.

Feel your thighs heavy and let go of holding them.

Let them fall onto the bed.

Let your pelvis open.

Feel your lower back flatten against the surface.

Let any tension or tightness dissolve away.

Feel each vertebrae relax and loosen.

Connect gently to the surface you're on.

Your shoulders,

They drop down,

Releasing all your worries.

All the heaviness that was on them rolls away and you feel lighter.

All of the tightness and pressure that was sitting on your chest is gone.

You can breathe.

You're free.

Your day is over.

It's time to dream.

All of your cares and worries are released.

Your breath flows easily in and easily out.

Your neck is cradled like a baby in its mother's arms.

Softly,

Safely,

Lovingly.

And your head rests sweetly on the pillow.

So comfortable.

So soft.

You are ready to sleep.

You'll have a beautiful sleep.

Filled with the sweetest,

Easiest dreams.

And when you wake,

You will feel energized and rested and relaxed.

You are now resting.
