Good morning.
It's the start of a wonderful day.
You can decide if you would like to stay lying down for this meditation or if you're ready,
If you'd like to sit up.
Either way,
Just make yourself comfortable and let your eyes close.
Make sure you're in a position where your breath can move easy and naturally up and down through the channel.
It can get from your nose to your lungs or from your nose to your stomach without any straining.
Once you're in that comfortable position,
Let's take a nice breath in through your nose and hold it and breathe out.
And once more.
And out.
Even though you've been sleeping,
Your brain may have still been busy.
Your mind might have still been racing and your dreams might have been working through problems and finding solutions.
So take this time to start your day with some peace and some quiet and get in touch first with your body and see how you are feeling.
So do a scan starting at your head and just see if there's any tension or any aches and pains in your head or your neck.
Anything in your shoulders,
You can just roll them back.
Anything all down your arms or your hands,
Feel free to wiggle your fingers or circle your wrists.
If there's any tightness in your chest or your back or your stomach,
You can stretch.
And as you look at your legs and your feet,
Point your toes and stretch your legs as far away from your body as you can and release.
Just a quick look.
Just a little bit of attention to see where any tightness or achiness is left over from last night.
And then bring some breath to those places.
So let's draw a nice breath in through your nose.
Send it to the places you noticed and out and again and out.
And now let's use this time to set our day up in a beautiful and positive way.
Let's use this time to make sure that we have a wonderful day.
Let's set an intention.
We don't want to set any sort of negative intention,
So we're going to set it in a positive way.
Let's think to ourselves.
I invite peace and calm into my day.
Just breathe.
I invite peace and calm into my day.
And breathe.
Beautiful.
Just beautiful.
Now I hope that that helps have a beautiful day,
A peaceful and calm day.
And I hope that you will set the same intention for tomorrow and the next and the next.
And I invite you to try a new one next week.
Our minds will reject it if we keep saying exactly the same thing over and over.
Our minds get bored.
So think of something for the week after and the week after that will do the same thing.
Start your day in a beautiful and positive way.
Remember not to introduce any negativity into your intention.
Keep it positive.
Something like,
I intend to forgive others and myself today.
I intend to love unconditionally today.
I intend to smile today.
Those are some examples.
You can choose your own.
And while we let this last few minutes of silence and quiet seep in and seal our intentions,
Just enjoy the peace and calm that you already have started for your day.
Know that your intention is already being manifested.
You are powerful.
Your energy,
Your thoughts,
Your actions are all under your control.
Just breathe.
You can stay as long as you like,
As long as you have allowed yourself time for meditation in this morning.
And whenever you're ready,
Whenever you're ready to get going and busy with your day,
You can open your eyes and return to your normal activities.
