Welcome.
You've come to the end of a long day where you've been working hard and worrying hard and thinking hard.
And now it's time to let yourself be soft and relaxed.
So find a comfortable position where you will be able to just drift off to sleep.
Make sure that you're warm and cozy.
So just notice,
Check in with how your body is feeling.
Pay attention to any coolness in your fingers or toes.
And get an extra blanket now if you need it.
Pay attention to how you are able to support your back or hips or legs.
Make sure as you are lying down,
You feel completely safe and at ease.
Let all the weight of you rest on the surface and all the weight of the world just drift away.
Once you're comfortable,
Know that you can move yourself into another position at any time if you choose.
Because this is your time.
This is your time to relax.
And there are no worries or pressures now.
So just take a nice breath in through your nose and hold it for a second and release.
And if you haven't already closed your eyes,
Then gently close now.
Let any furrows in your brow just smooth out and let your tongue rest just loosely inside of your mouth.
And just take another big breath in through your nose and bring it down into your chest and hold it for a second and release.
We're going to do that one more time.
Let's take a little bit bigger breath,
Hold it for a little bit longer and breathe out a little bit longer.
So breathe in,
Hold it and breathe out.
And think to yourself,
I am ready to sleep.
I am ready to let my mind and body rest.
I know that everything that I needed to do today is done.
I can do nothing more right now.
Any thoughts or emotions or worries about the world don't serve me in this moment.
And as they arise,
I will just think to myself,
Not now and I will breathe in peace and out relaxation.
In and out.
Just feel the relaxation.
Just find your own gentle rhythm.
If your mind wanders,
Just bring it back.
Don't be hard with yourself.
Stay soft.
Just breathe and relax and know that you are safe and supported.
And breathe.
Namaste.
