Sometimes meditation or breathing techniques just don't cut it. Sometimes we need something much simpler to ground our mind and system. Something for your inner child. I found that kids stories can help us to create safety and a welcome distraction from what is stressing us. I think these types of stories are so effective in grounding us, because they create what Dr. Peter Levine calls 'Islands of Safety'. Just listen and don't feel the need to do anything. After this track, you can then move on to other helpful techniques to further regulate and tap into being balanced again.
