Self-acceptance is a big struggle for many of us. Often we judge ourselves as not good enough, not beautiful enough, not rich enough, or another "not enough." We tend to compare ourselves to others, underestimate and strive for perfection. I want to remind you that you are enough! Without acknowledging our existing successes and strengths, we will never feel fulfilled by any new improvements. Once we truly accept and love ourselves, our beauty shines the brightest!

Hi,

It's Avelina here.

Today I thought to share with you my thoughts on self-acceptance as it's something I used to struggle a lot with.

So many of us are lost in conditioning of our nowadays world.

We keep hearing from all around how we are supposed to look like,

Speak like,

Move like,

Who we are supposed to be.

When trying to match into certain frames of what we consider beautiful,

Desired or valuable,

We lose ourselves.

We keep seeing in the media perfect bodies and faces,

Fancy things,

Clothes,

Houses and cars,

Smiley people living their dream life with perfect appearances,

Perfect things and never ending money.

It's easy to get lost in all of that,

To see that I am not beautiful enough,

Not intelligent enough,

Not rich enough,

Not enough.

To constantly compare myself with perfect images bombarding me from all around,

Which makes me feel that I need to improve so much in myself,

That I need to be more slim,

More muscular to fit into that perfect body frame,

That I need to do a plastic surgery or use expensive makeup to look beautiful,

That I need to have a certain degree or career approved by society in order to be respected.

Often we struggle with pleasing high expectations from others,

Which we might still carry since childhood.

If for years I was constantly expected to do better,

To be better,

Even when I was doing my best,

Today carrying it still in my heart I might feel like I am never enough.

Today I want to remind you and myself that we are enough.

No need to compare yourself to others,

Underestimate your value and struggle for imaginary perfection.

No need to fall into a trap of nowadays beauty frames.

No need to run behind perfect appearance and perfect possessions,

So others can make money by selling us fake feelings of happiness and fulfillment.

You are beautiful,

You are strong,

You are enough.

Be and remember each of your small and big successes and be proud of them.

Accept,

Let go and learn from your failures.

Know your real weaknesses,

Which you want to work on in order to grow and take action.

Realize your fake weaknesses,

Things which have no real need to be improved because they are alright.

Feel gratitude for your body,

For your mind,

For your experiences and your opportunities.

Accept yourself,

Appreciate yourself,

Love yourself.

As we truly do it,

Our beauty shines the brightest.

Such away with gently guiding without seeming like a teacher. More like a spiritual guide to awaken and open my eyes to the beauty of myself

Thank you for your thoughtful reminder that I am good just as I am and my true worth comes from within, not from without.

This is an important reminder for us all. This should be discussed in schools and to young ones at an early age so we have a greater, well adjusted next generation. Thank you Ewelina. πŸ™πŸŒˆ
