As we begin this meditation,
I invite you to settle into a place of comfort.
Maybe you close the eyes or you just take a soft gaze out in front of you.
I want to start by reading from Philippians chapter 4 verses 11 through 13.
I am not saying this because I am in need,
For I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
I know what it is to be in need and I know what it is to have plenty.
I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation,
Whether well fed or hungry,
Whether living in plenty or in want.
I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.
And I just love those verses that encompass Paul's letter of joy and contentment to the Philippians.
Saying that the secret of contentment is trusting God.
Learning to be content in Him is so powerful and maybe in this moment as you carve out time in your day or in your week to just pause and align with Him you can find contentment even in this moment.
Now shifting your awareness to your breath.
Just noticing the rise and fall of your chest as the breath moves in and out of the lungs.
Feeling the coolness of the air moving in through the nostrils and noticing the warmth of its release.
Breathing in peace.
Breathing out stress.
Feeling contentment.
Exhaling control.
And now begin to visualize the beautiful sky above.
The beautiful light of God as the heavens begin to open.
Notice this light pouring down and beginning to enter through the crown of your head.
Filling up your body completely as you notice this light begin to feel and grow and spread.
Breathing in peace.
Breathing out stress.
Feeling contentment.
Exhaling control.
As you feel God's love and light begin to fill you overflowing spreading out to everything that you touch.
Notice the power in this moment.
The power of aligning yourself with him.
The power of what fills you up and what flows out into this world that can touch those near and far.
And maybe in this moment you allow yourself to be content with that.
That what you have and the gifts you have are already enough to make change in this world to affect the lives of others.
To be used by God to expand and touch many in this world.
Breathing in peace.
Breathing out stress.
Feeling contentment.
Exhaling control.
