Getting a Good Night's Sleep Part 7
by Jay Chodagam
If you have a hard time falling sleep or getting deep, rejuvenating rest, you must listen to this series. Getting a Good Night's Rest guided meditation series has seven parts, intended to be listened to on seven (preferably consecutive) days. It is derived from my research over the past 20 years on getting maximum rejuvenation and waking up feeling your very best. The practice includes tips from neuroscience, sleep hygiene, yoga techniques and ancient spiritual practices.

Welcome to day seven,
The final day of the series on Sleeping Well.
A 20-minute nap in the middle of the day can help you refresh and focus better for the rest of the day.
I've been doing this for years,
Taking a nap right after having lunch,
And I come away feeling like it's an entirely new day.
In today's meditation commentary,
We will extend the exercise that you learned yesterday.
We're just giving light to your body.
In today's exercise,
Let us extend that healing light out into the environment around you,
Starting with sending that light out throughout your bed,
Creating a canopy of positive energy.
Then extend that light further on to fill your body with positive energy.
Extend that light further on to fill your home,
And light extending from room to room till it fills your entire home.
And then extend that light further on to fill your home,
And light extending from room to room till it fills your entire home.
And then extend that light further on to fill your entire home.
Now,
Next extend that light to fill your town.
See the light spreading throughout the city or town,
Wherever you live.
And then finally let this light extend to the entire world,
The whole globe being embraced with this light.
Notice how you feel right now at the end of this exercise.
Congratulations.
You've completed successfully the series on sleeping well.
Thank you.
