Lección 1
The Basics Of Sleep
Before we explore lucid dreaming, we want to ensure that we know something about the basics of sleep and an understanding of factors that affect our sleep. This course doesn't jump right into lucid dreaming techniques. It builds slowly, laying a solid foundation of understanding and experience first.
Lección 2
The Stages Of Sleep & Sleep Hygiene
Later in the course we will be deliberatley affecting our sleep, so it is important that we understand what happens during the sleep cycle. We will also look at some tips on how to ensure we can fall asleep when we want to and get good quality sleep.
Lección 3
Types Of Dreams & How They Can Be Influenced
Before exploring lucid dreams, we should be aware of all the different types of dreams we can experience. We will also take our first steps in understanding how dreams can be influenced and begin our active relationship with our dreams.
Lección 4
Remembering & Interpreting Your Dreams
Remembering your dreams is a critical step toward lucid dreaming as it begins the journey of attuning your waking consciousness to that of your dream consciousness. Learning different ways of interpreting our dreams also develops that realtionship between our daytime awareness and the subconscious active in our dreams. These important steps really bring the reality of lucid dreaming significantly closer.
Lección 5
Lucidity
Lucid dreaming requires a level of lucidity, of awareness, in our dreams. This isn't going to be possible if we haven't practised lucidity and awareness whilst we are awake. We will explore a variety of practices designed to increase our daytime and nighttime awareness. But for these to work, you will need to spend a significant amount of time practising them after listening to them here. The more time spent at this stage of the course, the more successfull your lucid dreaming will be later on.
Lección 6
Lucidity Continued
We will now look at how we can increase lucidity during relaxing meditations and during short daytime meditations. This builds and develops on day 5 and includes how to do a reality check - probably the single most important exercise you can practise to increase the chances of having a lucid dream.
Lección 7
How To Have A Lucid Dream
Don't be tempted to skip straight to this part of the course! The success of the techniques here will be dependent on all that you have done up to this point. We will look at affirmations, wake-induced lucid dreams, the best time to have a lucid dream, and using audio prompts. These techniques, in combination with all the preparation done before, will put you in the best possible position to start having lucid dreams.
Lección 8
What We Can Do In A Lucid Dream
After all your hard work and decication so far on this course, I hope that by now you may have had your first lucid dream. Now would be the perfect time to start to plan what you can do within your lucid dreams to make them a positive and beneficial experience that will impact upon your life. We will cover exploration, personal development, and more spritual possibilities.
Lección 9
Lucid Dreaming & The Nature Of Reality
Lucid dreams feel very real - sometimes even more real than waking life. What does this tell us about the nature of reality? And how can this be understood within a rational framework? We explore the metaphysical philosophy of idealism and how it is much more useful than the problematic assumptions of materialist metaphysics.
Lección 10
Lucid Living
If we accept lucid dreams are real what does that tell us about our life? This final day of this course looks at how the process of becoming lucid in our dreams can lead to being more lucid in our lives. This may even be a part of the journey and purpose of consciousness as a whole.
