Taking a moment to arrive here.
Allow yourself to land in this moment.
If it feels comfortable gently closing down the eyes.
And taking one slow breath in through the nose.
And a long steady exhale out through the mouth.
Sometimes in life we reach times where direction feels unclear.
Where things that once felt certain begin to feel unstable.
We question decisions,
Our path,
Relationships,
Even ourselves.
If this is where you find yourself right now,
You are not alone.
Feeling lost is often spoken about as something to escape from.
But in this moment I want to offer you a different view.
Feeling lost is a threshold.
A place between who you were and who you're becoming.
There are moments in life where the old map no longer works but the new one hasn't appeared yet.
And standing in that space can feel deeply uncomfortable.
The nervous system craves certainty.
Predictability feels safe so when direction disappears the body can interpret that as danger.
Which means feeling lost is not just mental.
It can live in the body as restlessness,
Tension,
Overthinking,
Heaviness.
So before we try to find answers,
Let's begin by helping the body feel supported.
Bring your attention gently towards your breath.
There's no need to change it in this moment,
Just notice it.
Notice where you feel the breath most easily.
The chest.
The belly.
Or maybe even the sensation of air at the nose.
And now gently deepening your inhale.
Nothing forced,
Just allowing the air to flow a little bit deeper into the body.
And as you exhale,
Picturing your shoulders dropping.
The jaw softening.
Let the tongue rest.
We're not trying to remove uncertainty.
We're simply helping the body feel safe enough to hold it.
Take another slow breath in.
And a slightly longer breath out.
For your next couple of breaths,
Making the exhale longer than the inhale.
You might imagine your breath creating a little more space inside you.
Space around your thoughts,
Your emotions.
Space around the unknown.
Sometimes clarity doesn't come from pushing harder.
It arrives when there's enough space for it to surface naturally.
There's an age-old idea that transformation rarely feels clear while it's happening.
Growth often feels like confusion from the inside.
And clarity only appears when we look back.
Feeling lost can sometimes mean you have outgrown a version of yourself.
You're standing on the edge of something new,
Even if you cannot name it yet.
There may be a quiet part of you that still knows how to move forward.
Not through certainty,
But through curiosity.
Through the small next steps.
Through listening inward.
You don't need to have your entire path figured out.
Life unfolds through uncertainty.
So in this moment,
Gently ask yourself.
What feels true for me right now?
And following on from this,
What feels supportive for me today?
Not in the future.
In this moment.
Let those questions rest softly in your awareness.
There's no need to search and scan for answers.
Just let them exist.
Returning your attention to your breath once more.
Feeling the rise of the inhale.
And the settling of the exhale.
Notice the surface beneath your body.
Supporting you.
Holding you.
Even when direction feels unclear.
You're still here.
Still breathing.
Still unfolding.
And that is enough for this moment.
When you feel ready.
Gently bringing some movement back into your fingers.
Your toes.
And when it feels right for you.
Allowing the eyes to reopen.
