When we are young we are innocent and free,
But as we grow older we adopt limiting beliefs over time that have been imposed on us by society,
Other people,
Bullies,
Sometimes even close family members and friends.
They may not be intending to impose these beliefs upon you,
But they do unconsciously.
A limiting belief might be a belief that holds you back,
For example you might believe that you're an ugly person,
You might believe that you are an introvert,
You might believe that nobody likes you,
You might believe that you're not capable of getting a certain job.
I'm sure many of you over time have experienced these kind of confidence issues in one way,
Shape or form.
This meditation is going to be powerful because today we're going to identify those limiting beliefs and we're going to try and destroy them on the spot.
Now it may not be a complete eradication,
You may still experience this feeling of self-doubt after this meditation,
But it certainly will help towards an improvement and if you repeat this kind of powerful practices over time then you can really begin to remove these limiting beliefs from your life.
So hopefully this meditation will be very powerful for you today.
Now first of all before we begin I want you to identify those limiting beliefs.
I want you to identify five.
I'm going to give you about three minutes to do so and once you've identified them we're going to work on being able to let them go.
So take a few minutes to yourself.
Okay,
So tonight we are going to start by gratefulness Sounds is going to be able You You You You You You Okay,
So hopefully you have your five limiting beliefs in your mind I Want you to take the first limiting belief?
And I want you to imagine it as a giant brick wall in front of you And what I want you to do for a moment Is touch this brick wall and realize that you cannot move forward you cannot move past it at the moment and I want you to really embody the feeling of That limiting belief so I'll give you 30 seconds to do that This may not feel great for you,
But I promise you we're gonna move on from this You Okay without even thinking just say in your head right now No,
And then I want you to run straight at that wall.
You're gonna smash it down right now Go run run faster faster faster faster faster and smash into that wall bang You've smashed through it You see that's all a limiting belief is It's just something that's stopping you from moving forward,
But you have the capacity inside To get past those limiting beliefs now say in your head.
That's not true right now Okay,
Now I want you to imagine the opposite to that limiting belief What would it look like for you if that limiting belief wasn't a part of your life?
Imagine you Absolutely joyful and on top of the world because you no longer believe this limitation I'll give you 30 seconds again you I Think of the next limiting belief and envision What it's doing to limit you touch that wall again 30 seconds really embody that feeling of negativity You In your head again,
No Run at that wall as fast as you can faster faster faster smash through that wall You're through Say to yourself,
That's not true Now envision the opposite complete joy and freedom from that suffering that limitation is no more for 30 seconds Okay,
Your next limitation.
Think about that,
Embody it,
Touch the wall again,
Think how bad it makes you feel.
30 seconds.
In your head,
No.
Run at that wall,
Faster,
Run faster,
As fast as you possibly can,
Smash straight through that wall now,
Bang,
You're through.
Now say in your head,
That is not true.
Now envision the opposite again,
Complete and utter joy and freedom from that limitation.
30 seconds.
Okay,
In your head,
No.
Run at that wall again,
Faster,
Faster,
Faster,
Maximum speed,
Smash through that wall,
Bang,
You're through.
That limitation is no more.
Say in your head,
That is not true.
Now imagine the opposite again,
Complete and utter bliss.
30 seconds.
Say in your head,
No.
Now run at the wall again,
The final wall,
This time you're going to go to absolute maximum capacity of speed and fully smash through this wall as hard as you possibly can.
Three,
Two,
One,
Smash,
You're through.
That wall was completely obliterated behind you,
It's in pieces on the floor.
Say in your head,
That is not true.
30 seconds again to yourself.
Feel that freedom.
This is what life is all about.
It's about overcoming those barriers that are holding you back so you can become the best version of you.
Every human being has the capacity to do this,
It doesn't matter what your past is,
We all have the ability to move on if we choose to.
For some people it's harder than others,
But it's never impossible.
And first of all,
Give yourself a pat on the back for taking part in this practice,
Because this is the first step towards freedom from suffering.
I know this wasn't the most relaxing meditation,
But I can guarantee you it was beneficial for you.
