Welcome.
If you're feeling dysregulated today,
And you're looking for a way back into balance within your nervous system,
This practice can help you do just that.
My name is Em.
And this practice uses ancient yoga nidra rest wisdom to return your nervous system and all layers of yourself back into balance again.
In yogic philosophy,
This is called sattva,
So you can take this sattvic balance or calm clarity back into your life and feel more present and at ease with yourself and your sensations.
So let's begin your journey back into sattvic balance by checking in with your body as you lay here,
Checking if it's fully supported,
And if not,
Just take this moment now to bring in some extra support or adjust your position slightly and just settle into more comfort if it is needed.
And when you're ready,
Close down the windows of your eyes or take a soft gaze.
On your next exhale,
Bring slight tension to your throat.
And sigh out the mouth so it sounds a bit like a whispery similarly to how you would if you were fogging up a window.
So inhale with your natural depth and rhythm.
And then exhale with a.
Continue breathing this way at your own pace for a few more moments now.
Breathing this way communicates with the vagus nerve.
That it's okay to shift into rest.
So continue breathing in this way.
Allow your breath to return to its normal pace.
And in the form of an I am statement.
Bring to your mind your hope for this practice today.
If you hope to feel regulated and with ease,
Your statement might be,
I find Sattvic balance with ease.
This is your Sankalpa,
A positive intent that shines brighter than the opposing and unhelpful beliefs you may currently hold.
So take a moment now to form in your mind your sankalpa.
When you have your sankalpa,
Whisper it in your mind's eye as a repeating mantra.
As you repeat this in your mind's eye.
You might wish to imagine it shining brighter than the unhelpful beliefs that you hold.
With each repetition.
Your sankalpa growing stronger and more true.
Allow this to dissolve now.
Consciously releasing any expression on your face.
Relaxing each and every one of your facial muscles here.
And with each point of the body that I name imagine the light of your sankalpa illuminating sensations of each point.
With a microscopic point of light.
On each part of the body.
Lighting up your brain's sensory map,
Creating the conditions for autonomic nervous system balance.
Without needing to do anything.
Just listening and placing the light of your sankalpa at each part of the body now.
Beginning with the centre of the forehead.

And now sense the air in the space around you just imagining that you could sense the air And with your next natural inhale.
Imagine that you could draw the air in from the space in the front of your body to the centre of the brain.
Then exhale down the center of the torso.
Dissolving out into space.
Inhaling up.
From the centre of the torso.
To the brain centre.
Exhaling from the brain centre.
Out through the centre of the torso.
Continue at your own pace,
Inhaling to the centre of the brain.
And then exhaling out through the center of the torso into the space around you.
Keep breathing in this way with your natural breath allowing this to be effortless.
Inhaling.
.
.
From the centre of the torso.
The centre of the brain.
Exhaling,
Brain centre,
Out the torso center into the air around you.
And now bring your awareness to your third eye centre.
And just allow yourself to receive rest in this moment.
Exactly as you are.
Receiving⦠the magic of restful peace.
Receiving the regulation that your body needs.
Receiving regulation as you bask here in this experience of your whole self.
And now bring back your sankalpa into your awareness now.
Repeating in your mind's eye as a mantra I find sapphic balance with ease.
And now allow your awareness to extend beyond the body.
And into the environment around you.
Taking an inhale through the nose,
Picking up any fragrance from your environment.
And notice any sounds in your environment.
Or tune back in to my voice.
And whenever you're ready.
Bring some movement back into your body.
You might wish to bring your hands to the centre of your chest.
Supportively holding yourself at the chest or the hands on your arms Or you might wish to seal in the balanced energy created within this practice by bringing your hands into a mudra.
Bring your first finger to your thumb and place your arms by your side,
Making a circle with your thumb and your first finger.
And whenever you're ready,
You can open your eyes while still practicing the mudra,
Or you might take a moment to reflect on how this practice has supported you today with your eyes closed or open.
But thank you so much for choosing to practice with me today.
And until you're ready to practice again.
Take care.
