For tonights deep rest yoga nidra practice, we're stepping into the whispering forest, a relaxing place where the gentle whispers of ancient trees guide you to unlock the power within, helping you make your dreams and wishes your reality. As you journey deeper into sleep, the forest reveals the path to transforming your desires into reality, filling you with a sense of calm and purpose.

Welcome to this deep rest sleep meditation.
My name is Em and I will be guiding you on this peaceful yoga nidra journey through the Whispering Forest,
A place where you can let go of stress,
Anxiety and any burden that you've been carrying.
Here you will find the space to gently release,
Allowing your deepest dreams and intentions to come into focus.
This meditation can be used during the day to bring your body into a state of deep relaxation to soothe your nervous system,
Or this can also be done as an evening practice,
As a soft runway into a night of restful and restorative sleep.
Before we begin,

So settle in,
Take a deep breath and allow yourself to fully immerse in this meditation.
So to begin,
Take a few moments to move into a position that feels restful,
Notice if there is any tension or discomfort that you are accepting,
And see if you can make a small movement to make yourself just a little bit more comfortable.
Watch your breath for a moment and notice its quality,
Notice where in the body you feel the breath and allow the rhythm to be exactly as it is.
Now close down the eyes or take a soft gaze and on the next exhale,
Make a large sigh and allow your body to completely relax back.
Feel the weight of your body against the earth supporting you,
Holding you for the duration of this meditation in a supportive embrace.
Allow your body to melt into comfort here.
Before we start the journey through the whispering forest,
We're going to relax your subconscious by rotating your awareness around key energy channels in the body.
So place your awareness onto the sensations at the top of your head.
Feel into the network of intricate nerves and sensations here at the top of your head.
Drift your awareness now down to the space between your brows,
Your third eye centre.
Feeling into all the sensations in your third eye centre here.
Shift your awareness down to your heart centre.
Notice the rhythmic drumbeat of energy pumping renewal throughout your entire body as you rest here deeply in complete stillness,
Allowing your heart centre to be as it is.
Bring your awareness now to the solar plexus just below your ribs.
Notice the energy here in your solar plexus.
You may feel movement or vibrations deep within your body.
Now allow your attention to be placed on your navel centre,
Deeply resting here in the energy of your navel centre.
And now rotate your awareness to the back of your body at the base of your spine.
Notice all the intricate sensations here at the base of your spine.
And on your next inhale,
Imagine that you are sending the breath slowly up each vertebrae like a ladder.
And on the exhale,
Imagine the breath sliding back down your spine and out through the base of your spine.
Inhale up the ladder of the spine.
And exhale back down the spine and out to the earth from the base of your spine.
Continue this breathing pattern at your own pace,
Feeling into the sensations as you send your breath to the spine.
And now drift your awareness onto your third eye centre and allow yourself to rest here in your imagination.
Imagine the gentle sound of leaves rustling as a breeze brushes against your skin.
Feeling this breeze is the perfect temperature for what you need in this moment.
Feel into the sensation of this relaxing breeze against your skin,
Brushing your face,
Arms,
Solar plexus and navel.
Look up in your mind's eye and see that you're standing at the entrance of an ancient forest,
A place you've never been before,
And yet it still feels familiar as if it's been waiting for you to discover it.
The trees here are tall,
Towering above you with branches that stretch out and welcome you here.
The bark of the trees glow,
Shimmering with iridescent patterns that shift and swirl as you gaze at them.
The path ahead of you is lined with soft fluorescent moss,
And as you take your first step,
Feel the ground give way gently beneath your feet,
It's like stepping on a fluffy cloud.
This place is the whispering forest,
A sacred place where dreams are born and gently whispered into the night.
As you walk deeper into the forest,
The air is warmer and you listen in to the susurrus of leaves.
It's like the trees have their own soft voice,
It's like the distant echo of wind chimes or a lullaby just for you as you rest here deeply in stillness,
Taking in all the forest has to offer you.
The trees here,
They hum with life,
Their leaves are shimmering in hues of emerald and silver.
In front of you,
In the clearing,
You spot a dreamcatcher,
And it's unlike any dreamcatcher you have ever seen.
It hangs suspended on an ancient tree,
And its beautiful web is woven from threads of light and mist.
As you approach it,
You notice there is something extraordinary about it.
This dreamcatcher is alive,
Threads of silver light move and weave themselves,
Constantly shifting and reshaping,
They are catching fragments of dreams or intentions,
The wishes that float through the air like soft,
Glowing bubbles.
One of these glowing bubbles floats toward you.
In your mind's eye,
Outstretch your hands to catch the bubble,
Feel as it touches your skin,
A wave of warmth spreading through you,
Feel it as it warms all the way through your arms to your heart center in the middle of your chest.
This bubble is not just any dream,
It is your dream,
A fragment of your desire or a hope that is ready to be set into an intention.
As you hold it in your hand,
The bubble expands,
Showing you an image of your desire.
Notice the desire and the imagery within the bubble,
What is it showing you?
Feel a soft smile reaching over your face as you see the desire taking shape in front of you in the bubble.
Feel this warming your entire body with a full sense of gratitude moving through your entire being.
Notice your breath now,
And how with each breath that you take,
Your dream begins to weave itself into the forest,
Becoming part of the living tapestry around you.
You can feel your dream settling into the air and becoming a part of this enchanted place where nothing is ever lost,
Instead it's nurtured whilst you rest and whilst you sleep.
You notice that trees in front of you are guiding you down the path.
As you keep hold of this glowing bubble,
The trees gently beckon you forward along the path.
Follow their lead and feel a sense of curiosity washing over you.
Ahead you see a clearing bathed in soft moonlight.
In the centre of the clearing is a giant tree,
Its roots are spread out like veins through the earth.
This tree is the grounded heart of the whispering forest.
Its bark glows a soft silvery blue,
Its leaves are shimmering as if they're made from stars.
This beautiful constellation is on the tree of intention,
A place where all wishes,
Hopes and dreams come to rest and grow,
Nurtured by the ancient wisdom of the earth.
Step back and release your bubble to the tree.
Watch with curiosity as it floats up and joins to a branch,
Becoming one of many shimmering leaves on the tree of intention.
Walk up to the tree and place your hand on its trunk,
Feel a calm connection washing over you,
And feel deeply bonded with the wisdom of the forest.
Feel the sense that every dream you have ever had,
Even fleeting hopes are held within this tree,
And they are gently nurtured until the time is right for them to bloom.
The timing depends on the ancient wisdom residing within this forest,
You don't need to do anything more.
You realise that you are safe here and completely at ease.
Your bubble,
Your dream is an intention that has been accepted.
And feel the wisdom of the tree reaching out for you as it invites you to wonder,
What is the intention behind my dream?
Just watch and see if the answer is revealed to you,
What is the intention behind my dream?
Feel your heart centre warming up once more as the energy exchange of your intention is placed on your heart centre,
Like a seed from the forest connecting with you,
Grounding your intention into your heart space deep within your being as you rest here deeper and deeper,
Knowing that there is nothing more you need to do.
Feel the forest wrapping around you,
Providing a protective cocoon that will hold you as you drift deeper into rest and sleep.
With the cocooning support of the forest supporting you,
Allow yourself to release all expectation on how your intention will come into your reality.
Rest back as you release your expectations to the forest,
Allow the whispers of the forest to blend into the rhythm of your breath as you rest here deeply,
Releasing all expectations for your intention and this practice.
Find a soft patch of moss at the base of this ancient tree and lie down on it,
This is the softest bed you have ever experienced.
Feel its warmth absorbing through your skin,
Nourishing each cell in your body as you rest deeper and deeper into your true nature,
After all you are a part of nature and nature is supporting you here.
Feel the energy at the base of your spine,
Allowing this energy channel to absorb the softness and warmth of this mossy bed beneath you.
On your next inhale feel the radiant energy of the forest moving up your spine and as you breathe out imagine releasing all restless energy to the mossy bed of the whispering forest floor.
Releasing this restless energy allows you to rest here deeper and deeper.
In your mind's eye look up at the sunset sky above you,
You can see a swirl of evening colours,
Lots of blues mixed with oranges and purples.
As you gaze up in your mind's eye feel your eyes growing heavy,
Allowing them to rest back in their sockets and soften.
Listen in as the forest whispers to you one last time,
A reassurance that promises you peace,
Safety and dreams that will nourish you.
What reassurance is the forest whispering to you here?
Listen in to a message that reveals itself to you.
Feel that calming reassurance at your heart centre.
Now allow it to spread from your heart centre throughout your whole body.
This is a piece of the whispering forest to keep with you as you settle back into your day or rest back into sleep.
This allows you to remember your intention and move through your day according to the intent allowing you to take inspired action and small steps to make your dream your reality.
Bring your attention back to your breath without changing anything and with each inhale and exhale allow the sound of the forest,
The trees and the dreamcatcher to slowly fade into the background.
Know that the magic of this place is always here for you,
Waiting whenever you choose to return.
But for now,
It's time to gently move into your day or rest back into sleep.
If you wish to move straight into sleep,
I'd recommend pausing the meditation here.
If you're practising in the day and you wish to come wakeful again,
Begin by bringing your awareness into your body.
Feel the weight of your body resting on the support beneath you.
Notice how your body is pressing gently but firmly on the surface beneath you.
Feel into the softness of the fabric and move your hands around to feel into and wake up the sensory experience of your body.
Start to visualise the space that you're in and with your eyes still closed,
Focus in on any sounds in your environment around you.
As you begin to reconnect with your waking life,
Place a hand gently over your heart.
Feel the pressure of your supportive hand on your chest and allow yourself to connect here.
This is your anchor,
The calm,
Safe feeling of this moment that can be recalled in your waking life with this simple gesture of placing your heart on your chest.
It may take a few sessions to fully connect to this anchor and develop the neural pathways in your brain,
But once you do,
You can use this action to reconnect with this feeling that you have created for yourself today.
Take a deep,
Refreshing breath in and fill your lungs completely,
Feeling the air in your entire body.
As you exhale,
Sigh deeply,
Feeling the energy and refreshment in your body.
Whenever you're ready,
You can gently open your eyes,
Allowing the light of the present world to fill your vision.
Take a moment to feel the connection between the whispering forest visualisation and the here and now,
And know that you've brought some of that peaceful magic back with you into your day.
Your practice is now complete,
