Don’t Be The Toad
In this short talk, Elizabeth introduces the “toad” as the part of us that gets stuck in the story of being unlucky, hurt, or wronged. She contrasts this with a deeper part of ourselves that can recognize the value in everything we have lived through, including difficult experiences that revealed our strength, helped us grow, or brought unexpected gifts into our lives. Rather than staying trapped in a victim perspective, she invites us to reconnect with gratitude for being alive, our own resourcefulness, and the possibility of seeing our lives from a larger perspective.
