In this talk, we shift the focus from having all the answers to asking the most powerful question of all: "What would I do if I truly loved myself?" We often fall into the trap of self-sacrifice, thinking that doing things we hate will somehow help others, but this only leads to a harvest of resentment. By filtering your diet, your work, and your relationships through the lens of self-compassion, you stop draining your energy and start building a reservoir of genuine love.

The question to constantly ask yourself,

It seems like life is all about having the answers.

I've learned that life is much more about asking the right questions.

So the question for you to ask yourself is,

What would I not do if I truly loved myself?

What would I do if I truly loved myself?

Where would I spend my time?

What would I do with my body if I truly loved myself?

What would I eat if I truly loved myself?

Who would I spend more time with if I truly loved myself?

What work would I do?

How would I contribute?

How would I show up if I truly love myself?

So take this love,

Put it into every area of your life,

And you'll have a huge amount.

You'll have tons of love in your life,

And then you share it with others.

So the other way to look at it,

The thing I don't want you to do is say,

Let me sacrifice myself for all the people in my life.

I will do work I hate.

I will spend time in places I don't like.

And then it's all resentment.

You'll have lots of resentment,

And you won't have as much love to share with others.

So self-compassion is when you like what you do,

Will you do it with your values,

How you treat your body,

And from that place,

You have so much resource to offer other people.

So I wish you a day full of decisions from a place of real self-compassion.
