Self-compassion starts with your physical self.
Self-compassion starts with how you treat your body.
Experience your body when it has full access to its own full resource of full potential.
So with every choice you can help your body or you can harm your body or you can keep it neutral.
Everything that's calming for your mind actually gives energy to your body.
Everything that is unnecessary stress,
Like other people's drama,
Unnecessary stress,
It actually decreases the magnesium in your body and it makes your body less effective.
It takes you further away from your full potential.
When you see a certain food in front of you,
Don't ask yourself whether you want to taste it.
Ask yourself will this give joy and health and more life and more vitality to my body.
So not to my taste buds,
To my body.
For every piece of food you see,
Ask yourself will this help my physical self?
Will this bring joy to my physical self?
Everything you put in your mouth becomes you.
It becomes the cells of your body.
It increases your energy or decreases your energy.
Burnout is the greatest issue I see among successful people today.
People can have opportunities,
Money,
Relationships.
They often don't have energy to enjoy them.
I want you to have energy to enjoy the things in your life.
That is a self-compassion practice.
And as a self-compassion practice,
Constantly ask yourself,
Does this increase my energy?
Does this decrease my energy?
A hard workout will actually increase your energy unless you're absolutely exhausted,
In which case it will decrease your energy.
A good night's sleep always increases your energy.
Greens increases your energy.
Fried foods,
Sugar,
Anything that makes your insulin jump decreases your energy.
You might feel the spike,
But it ultimately decreases your energy.
Become an expert at making decisions guided by will this breathe life and vitality and inspiration into my body physically.
And then you also thrive mentally and internally.
So think about serving your soul through serving your body.
As you serve your body,
Your soul,
Your spirit has more opportunities to express itself and to live out the life you really want and to follow the path of your higher purpose.
And connecting to your higher purpose,
To your values,
Is the greatest practice of self-compassion.
