And tuning into the breath.
Feel the breath as it comes in and out of the body,
Noticing the soothing,
Even rhythm of the breath.
Take a moment to truly observe it,
Clearing the mental palate.
Just be a witness to your breath.
Nothing to do,
Just feeling the breath fully for one minute,
Enjoying the breath fully for one minute.
And now that you've spent a little time with your breath,
Acknowledging that to be human is to be unskillful sometimes.
And if we think that as human beings we can always be skillful,
That's just the ego.
To be human is to harm others sometimes,
Even against our best intentions.
But we can always ask for forgiveness.
If I have harmed anyone in any way,
Knowingly or unknowingly,
I ask their forgiveness.
If I have harmed anyone in any way,
Knowingly or unknowingly,
I ask for their forgiveness.
Just noticing how that feels.
And in the same way,
If anyone has harmed me in any way,
Knowingly or unknowingly,
I can forgive them.
If anyone has harmed me in any way,
Knowingly or unknowingly,
I can forgive them.
And if there's a situation I'm not yet ready to forgive,
I forgive myself for that.
If there's anything I'm not yet ready to forgive,
I release myself from the expectation.
I release myself for blame,
And I fully forgive myself for that.
But for any ways I've harmed myself or doubted myself,
I forgive myself fully.
I forgive every past version of myself.
And let's bring in some common humanity.
Understanding that this experience of making mistakes and forgiving and being forgiven,
It's all part of being alive.
Offering forgiveness,
You are connected with everyone in the vastness of human life and human experience.
Just like me,
All beings have made mistakes.
Just like me,
All people struggle with forgiving and being forgiven,
Forgiveness for themselves and others.
Just like me,
Every beating heart wants to be happy.
And just like me,
Every heart wants to be seen with love.
Every heart wants to be treated with kindness.
And every heart wants to experience joy.
Every heart wants the joy of connection.
Sending the wish,
May all beings find ease.
May all beings find joy.
May all beings love and be loved.
And let's just take a deep breath in through the nose,
Exhaling out through the mouth,
And thank yourself for your practice.
May our words,
May our thoughts,
May our practice support all life everywhere.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Coming back.
