Hi my friend,
This meditation is for you and me.
You know those moments when you are about to head into a big meeting,
Or maybe you need to create something,
Or you're going to an event,
Or a gathering with friends,
Whatever it may be.
Something important,
Right?
That you want to be present for,
You want to be joyful for.
And then something happens that triggers you,
Or just is out of your control and completely shifts your mood.
I know I can't be the only one who has felt this.
So this is a short meditation for you to let go of what just happened and begin again.
If it feels okay,
Gently rise into a standing space,
Standing up tall.
And right away,
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Big exhale out your mouth.
This time with a lot more of a sigh on the exhale,
Using some sound to clear any energy.
Inhale deeply,
Exhale,
Notice how it feels.
Breathe in,
Exhale out the frustration.
One more just like that,
Inhale,
Use your sound.
Now we'll take some lion's breath.
That means you inhale through your nose,
And then as you exhale,
You stick out your tongue and sigh or make a roar sound,
Really letting go of the frustration or the anger.
This isn't yours to hold.
Inhale deeply,
Exhale lion's breath.
I can't help but smile with that one.
How about you,
Notice?
Or maybe you're still a little bit irritated,
That's okay.
Breathe in,
Lion's breath.
Do it again,
Inhale,
Exhale.
One more time,
Inhale,
Sigh it out.
Now start to shake.
Yep,
Shake your hands,
Shake your shoulders,
Maybe lift and drop your heels,
Just shake it off.
Let go of that comment someone said to you,
Or that thing you saw,
Or the fact that that person called you,
Or whatever it might be,
Shake it off,
Let something go right here.
And breathe through it,
Inhale,
Exhale,
Really shake,
Shake,
Shake.
When you're ready,
Find stillness,
Maybe drop down into a seated space.
Feel the safety of this moment of the stillness,
Breathe in,
Let it go.
You can choose to begin again.
Feel this new energy emerge within you.
A fresh start doesn't mean anything has changed,
It just means that you are seeing yourself in this moment in a whole new way.
It's fresh,
It's new.
Arrive in this new beginning right here.
Slow breath in,
Exhale,
Let it go.
Let go of everything that you expected,
Let go of all that you have anticipated.
Notice how the world has not changed,
Your perception has changed.
Begin again,
Soften into the truth of who you are in this moment now.
Feel this freedom inside your soul right here,
The letting go.
Slow your breath in,
Follow it out,
And may you remember your breath is a fresh start,
A new beginning.
Notice the shift within you,
Even if it's very subtle.
May you continue to begin again and again.
You are worthy of changing your state and not letting things get to you,
