In this five-minute meditation class,
I'll help you banish your stress.
So let's get started.
Go ahead and sit down,
Making sure your spine is straight.
It can be against a wall,
Against a chair.
Just make sure you're comfortable.
And to begin,
We'll start by taking three cleansing breaths.
So we'll breathe in together.
Open mouth exhale.
Good.
One more.
In.
Let it out.
Good.
Last one.
In.
And breathe out.
Good.
And start to deepen your breath slowly,
Consciously.
Making it longer.
Smoother.
And you can breathe through your nose,
Your mouth,
Whatever feels good.
And just notice what effect those three cleansing breaths that we just took had.
You might feel more refreshed,
You might feel more at home with your body.
Good.
So we're going to breathe together and I'll prompt you.
And let's begin.
We'll breathe in.
And then we'll breathe out.
Good.
One more breath together.
And out.
Good.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
And continue breathing like this.
Nice and slow on your own.
And with every deep,
Slow breath,
You might feel like you're relaxing more.
You might feel less stressed.
Good.
With the next breath in,
We'll place our hands on our heart.
And we'll breathe in.
Breathe out.
Good.
One more time.
Breathing in.
And out.
Good.
And continue on your own.
With your hands on your heart and just feeling how with every breath,
Your heart moves up or down.
Good.
Pay attention to that.
Maybe you'll feel your heart beating underneath your hands.
Good.

One more breath in.
And out.

Now I want you to continue breathing like this and just check in with your heart.
Check in with this part of the body that we're touching with our hands.
And notice if anything feels different.
If it's behaving or acting in a certain way that you can pick up on,
Maybe the heartbeat feels slower.
Maybe you can feel your breath in your chest.
Maybe you feel the warmth underneath your hands.
Good.

And we'll put our hands down.
And take in three final cleansing breaths.
