Good evening.
Gratitude is a great way to end our day.
Research has shown that practicing gratitude can improve our sleep,
Especially during stressful times.
Gratitude is a wonderful way to help us let go of negative thoughts before we go to sleep.
Let's start by taking in a couple relaxing breaths.
Much of the day is behind us now.
We're entering a period of rest and restoration.
Go ahead and place a hand on your heart and start to look back at your day.
What made you happy?
Excited?
What made you happy?
Excited?
Joyful?
Predictive?
It may help to run through your day sequentially.
What was a nice moment from your morning?
Perhaps you had a warming cup of coffee that allows you to get ready for a productive day.
Think back to your afternoon.
Maybe you had a delicious snack or listened to some good music.
Now,
Your evening time.
Think of any simple pleasures you enjoyed.
Like watching a TV show or catching up with a friend.
These moments may be big or small,
But as long as they make you feel good and put a smile on your face,
As you think back on them,
You're on the right track.
As you continue to breathe and connect with your body,
You'll feel yourself relax,
Slow down and settle into your evening.
