Hello.
Research has shown that gratitude practices contribute to more happiness,
Self-esteem,
And physical health.
Writing down or recording what you're grateful for won't take much time,
But you'll find that the benefits are quite powerful.
Gratitude is a deeply personal thing for each and every one of us.
Today,
We'll explore what gratitude feels like for you,
And at the end of this practice,
You'll have a better understanding of how you like to access and express gratitude.
Go ahead and get into a comfortable position for a minute.
You can be anywhere,
It can be noisy,
And you may have your eyes open if you wish.
Now,
I'd like you to think about a moment in your life where you felt really satisfied,
Content,
Or happy.
It can be from this week or the last 10 years.
You may think of a couple moments immediately.
If this is the case,
Pick the moment that you can remember the best.
Now,
I'd like you to immerse yourself in this moment.
Play it out in your head.
What do you see?
Any sounds or smells?
Any sensations?
Take a couple seconds to really enjoy this moment.
What are you feeling?
Tap into the feelings of this moment and really allow them to play out in your body in the present moment.
Happiness,
Satisfaction,
Contentment,
And more.
Notice where in the body you feel those feelings the strongest and place a hand there.
This special space you've just created is filled with gratitude and thankfulness for that moment from your past.
You may revisit this moment anytime you want to remind yourself of what gratitude feels like.
