I was an academic professor for years and wrote this for every student who I found "stressed" about an exam - I wanted every student to know they were so much more than the exam they were about to complete. I hope this helps you should you be about to complete an exam you find important in your life.

For the test taker,

Sit up nice and tall,

Have your palms facing up on the tops of your thighs to receive the universe's energy,

Lower your shoulders and tilt your head up towards the sky.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and blow out through your mouth.

You are calm,

You are confident and you are relaxed.

This examination of your knowledge is not a reflection of your worthiness,

Your intelligence,

Your ability to thrive in an ever-changing world.

It does not mean you are more or less loved.

In five years,

Chances are,

This exam will not matter.

Yes,

Do your best and let go of thinking you have to get it right,

You have to ace it.

Let go of the pressure,

Let go of the expectation,

Let go of the perception that you are a letter grade or a score.

The sun will come up tomorrow,

Your friends and family will still love you.

The sun will continue to shine down on you.

You are a soul,

A spirit,

Destined for something only you can achieve.

The universe,

If you listen and if you follow its call,

Will coerce a way for you to become what it is you came to become.

This test,

Like a ripple in the waves,

Will be forgotten in the sand because of the countless waves that will come after this one in your life.

So take a deep breath.

Take in all the energy,

Confidence,

Brilliance and when you blow out,

Let go of any doubt,

Of any fear,

Of any feelings of unworthiness.

You are so much more than an exam.

Go and do your very best and know that tomorrow,

Your life will continue to work for you and the life journey that only you can fulfill is making a way for you despite the outcome of this exam.

You are calm,

You are confident and you are relaxed.
