Deeply.
Allow each breath to bring us to the here and now.
Because right now,
All there is is breath.
And today in our breath,
In our simple breathing,
We will find freedom from fear.
Because fear is in the mind.
And when our minds are still,
There is no fear.
So let us now be with our breath and be still.
In our stillness,
We may observe disturbances.
Disturbances by stories that our mind is creating about things to be afraid of.
Things that create fear.
But during this meditation,
Instead of running from those fears,
Let's calmly look at our fear and discover the emptiness of this fear without thoughts.
If we don't give fuel to this fear by thinking about the things and the stories that go with this fear,
Then that fear begins to die.
Because we are so much more than our fear.
We are so much more than that story of that fear.
Our minds can envelop the entire universe and beyond.
That's the story that we can create.
The fear is so small in comparison to the vast universe that we're aware of.
When we look at that fear squarely,
We can see there really isn't anything to be afraid of.
Let's be still with that fear and be at peace.
Each time we look at this fear,
We see its limitations.
We see its powerlessness over us.
But there's only one way to diminish this fear and that's by truly looking at it,
By meeting it,
By saying,
I'm not afraid of you.
Even if the stories you create come true,
I'm still not afraid.
I'm going to live my life free,
Fearless.
You can't hurt me,
Fear.
Go away.
And as I face my fear,
As I grow stronger and living in the here and now,
Learning not to create stories,
Not to feed stories,
I also won't feed this fear.
I'll be careful what I watch on television.
I'll be careful what I read on the internet.
I'll be careful with the conversations I have.
And I'll steep myself in fearlessness because I am not afraid.
I am not afraid.
Life is a gift to each and every one of us,
One to be enjoyed,
One to be felt,
One to be faced,
But fearlessly.
When things happen that I don't expect,
When things go the way I don't like,
Sometimes they are painful,
Tragic,
But I have the ability to face them.
We can face anything and overcome it,
No matter what has happened,
No matter what is happening,
And no matter what may happen,
We can handle anything.
So I will not be afraid.
We will live our lives fearlessly.
We will live our lives well and at peace.
And when the fear comes,
We will look at it,
We will face it and let it dissolve like the mist that it really is.
It's empty.
It's only there because our minds are creating it.
As we learn to still our minds,
As we learn to be present,
All is well.
All is well.
So when we look at our fears,
We just breathe.
We watch our breath come in,
We watch our breath go out.
And when we feel the anxiety within us about our fear,
We realize our mind is creating a story.
And if we don't feed this story,
That fear goes away.
So we focus on our breath and we breathe.
We're present with what is,
Which is our breath.
Our breath is always with us.
We're never alone.
And we can overcome this fear and live a truly fearless life.
So now when we're present,
When we look at our lives,
We see ourselves as fearless because we are.
We're living fearless lives because we have tools to face any fear.
And with these tools,
We can live the most free life possible.
So beautiful because we are learning to live in the here and now.
And right now there's nothing to be afraid of.
And when we do face that which we fear,
We are well because we realize we can face anything.
And when we face our fears,
We grow,
We learn.
And mostly we learn to just be.
Being in the here and now without fear because we're willing to look at our fear and let that fear die.
When we truly look at our fears,
They go away because we are choosing to have beautiful lives.
We look and we are not afraid.
Life can be a beautiful adventure when we look,
And we learn to just be in the here and now without fear.
